You tried a jersey change, respect on that one for sure. This looks like it was majority brushing and smudging. Use stocks and play with opacity settings. You've got a good basis, but you need to learn the little things. Look up tuts and stuff like that. Jackim posted a good one on here for n00b sigmakers.
