Here we go...Im not sure what the hell your BG is but nice choice against the red jersey,the colours work well together. The blur technique with the jersey/BG goes great with the b&w head. It also has more sharpness to it and the contrast is pretty good.I do think the lighting on his face could became little softer though. That dispersion technique when used right looks sic and I love how his right( our left visually) seems as though he took a round from an old 30-6 Lee Enfield.
