So there have been a lot of discussions lately about our system, our members and anything else with relation to recruitment. I'm here to let you know a bunch of information regarding Recruitment and just give you a February Update. I'd like to submit an update to keep everyone informed on what we are doing and how you can help if you can spare 5 minutes that may result in you gaining 20+ TPE if you successful recruit a member.

 

Facebook

  • Our Recruitment Team will all have access to the VHL Facebook page and are all given the "Editor" role in hopes of sparking more discussing and getting our page out there. In the grand scheme of things this is just a small step and will help gain a bit of minor exposure through such things are comments, link posting and group inclusion.
  • Our Editor squad will be going to Sportsnet, TSN, etc.. pages and commenting on relevant videos, pictures and comments in a positive and topical fashion to help generate views that hopefully help us in our future Facebook advertisements.
  • Regarding facebook advertisements, I went into our Ad Campaign we did last year and it appears the search was way too narrow. So I went to a friend at Hootsuite to give a bit more insight on things and we will have a better understanding of how to recruit and what to do while do so to gain a more profitable advertisement

 

Twitter

  • Twitter can be a tricky best at times as it's not as much business/advertisement based as Facebook, but the sponsored Ads can work through different avenues here and there.
  • Our Recruitment squad all have the details to sign in and hopefully we will be pushing this like Facebook in regards to trying to gain more discussion. Obviously Hashtags and topical stories will be our focus in trying to gain people.
  • I should state that from my records, we have had 3 people in the past join the VHL from Twitter; unfortunately that number is zero for Facebook.

 

Instagram

  • A new feature we are bringing back. We used to have an Instagram account but Instagram had different rules back then for image sizes.
  • Hopefully this sparks the creative graphic and visually pleased members and users to join our site.
  • Add us at @victoryhockeyleague

 

YouTube

  • We have a couple guys are consider themselves YouTube specialists (or more so than a few of our other guys including myself). They will be targeting YouTube and hopefully we will be able to reach out to some bigger Hockey related YouTube channels and YouTuber's to advertise and promote our simulation league.

 

Discord

  • Discord is what a lot of sites have as their chat. The VHL has a discord channel as well which is located here: (https://discord.gg/p5DFWea)
  • Not many have done this but we've tried our hand at it and it has seen some interest, but we will be using discord channels to promote our site with like minded users.
  • Through NHL, Hockey, EASHL, etc.. discords we look to bring in members interested in the same things we are in relation to our league as whole.

 

Affiliates

  • I will be reaching out to other leagues in hopes of affiliating and posting their link over here and in turn having our link on their site. If there is a site you know of that we should link with, please PM me and I can make it happen. Having one person contact all these sites is best in order to keep it all going through one persons approval.
  • I will also be going into each affiliate we already are affiliated with and refreshing our post and hopefully giving a newer updated post. This is just basic Recruiting Housekeeping per say.

 

Recruitment Campaigns

  • Recruitment campaigns will be going on and the opportunity to gain a lot of TPE will always be in play. Keep in mind when the rules attached to a campaign are posted, anyone during that campaign that you recruit, will be eligible to get you a certain reward for your update threads (aka TPE, Doubles Weeks, etc..)
  • Likewise, we may also post flash posts that give you small amounts of TPE for upvoting on Reddit, or Tweeting or even liking a Facebook post that we have promoted.
  • We may run graphics competitions for various advertisement campaigns that will reward members for participating. We recently ran one that will see a payout shortly here!

 

The goal of our Recruitment Team is to gain an influx of members and hopefully move into some more stocked teams in the league. We can not speak for the blue team but we ourselves have no affiliation with expansion or anything in regards to the cap numbers, are job is simply to recruit likeminded individuals and boost the viewership at the VHL. In turn, it will allow us to have fuller rosters, a more active participation in discussion and a better product moving forward.

 

If you have any ideas, suggestions or comments please direct them to our recruitment team. The following members will be out there doing the behind the scenes work and gaining the VHL some valuable members. Updaters please note anyone listed below will be/have the chance to claim Recruitment TPE per week.

I read the entirety. Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Affiliates and Discord essentially. 

 

Hopefully the Facebook thing works - could catch something on stuff like that. Maybe also some Fantasy league sites, hockey forums around the boards and other forums and communities throughout the world-wide web. The league has to be stocked with money - could look into throwing up an ad on some major websites (just depends which they are). Hell, up donations for a little while and then throw something in THE HOCKEY NEWS news letters/papers. That could catch some eyes!

 

Let me buy TPE's with straight money. 20$ = 15 TPE, $50 = 40 TPE :D ONCE per career.

Yes but nothing is being brought back, they were always there but only one person was responsible for them. The more hands on deck the less work involved for each member and the more noticeable the pages become to other internet users.

 

Those ads you speak of are covered in campaigns. That's the point of advertisement campaigns, you go to forums and see if money will help them promote your page with a banner at the top of the forum.

 

In regards to buying TPE, no. Donations are there. You can't pay to play any more than you can now and even then that money is used for hosting and eventually recruitment efforts.

How is that banner/campaign thing coming along? Pretty pumped to see the final result once it comes out! I know a bunch of sim GM leagues that may put it up!

 

Could give the SimonT/STHS forum a bump in the VHL thread too. Lots of GM's/people flock there looking for leagues! :)

That graphic is for a Facebook ad. Not really geared towards forum banners for advertisement. We will have a few different ones going on

 

I'll be bumping all affiliates...as said above haha
