Ive never had any experience with Adobe/Gimp so I dont know how you guys get all the sigs to look the way they do but it looks great. You have lots of deep colour and although everything is on the darker side, it all stands apart in the sig. I like the orange lines on the bottom right it adds some lighter color to the render. Really like the shadow effect on the font and it helps make it stand out from the jersey. Your light source would be better if it reflected onto his helmet,or even was placed on the top left.
