As the last place team currently, I think of it more as postponing the cup to next season. If all goes well, my active - but 2 season VHLMer - goalie will be at his peak next season. So will the one drafted forward. Shipping off an inactive in his last season of eligibility for a pick that will at a minimum be 15th, in general it seems like a move that benefits me.
