sterling 1,982
Simon has released a program that adds all career stats together, we just need the xml files from past seasons. I can find the majority of the files from my time simming. http://sths.simont.info/DownloadFiles.php?id=STHS-CareerStat-2-0-0.zip

Mike 708
I tried to do this the program gives an error I msged Simon he gave me an updated version of the program that explains the errors a bit better. The program is looking for files that we have named differently. For instance it says player.xml error our STHS file says players.xml. For goalies.xml it was looking for a file called goaler.xml I'm not sure if this was some weird French translation error, if our STHS has custom file names?, or their stats compiling program is just terribly made. sterling 1,982
Probably the latter. Can we just change the names
Mike 708
Probably the latter. Can we just change the names We can but every file from every season is going to need to be renamed to make it work correctly. I sent another e-mail to Simon letting him know its wrong having a programing background realistically they should be able to edit the code to fix that and make it work for everyone easier than having everyone rename files. sterling 1,982
Wouldnt take that long imo
Mike 708
really wouldn't but it would take even less time to change the text in the program and if the program does eventually get fixed we'd have to always use the outdated one or go back and rename everything we already did Edited February 7, 2014 by Mike
sterling 1,982
Well you can tell him to fix it, perhaps he will. No rush
NotAVHLM-GM 1,858
Just a question, how will this program handle player names that are the same. We have had multiple Steven Stamkos players and such and their career stats shouldnt be added up.
Admin Victor 9,985 Posted February 7, 2014 Admin Share Posted February 7, 2014 That's particularly important for someone like CAL G, who existed long before Jardy's player. There were also name changes, like Layken Heidt. But I guess those are minor things, getting it to work and seeing the result would be more important. NotAVHLM-GM 1,858
Otherwise my next player will also be a goalie named Remy LeBeau. He is too young to quit after 8 years anyway

Mike 708
Problem found we didnt always use STHS version 2 starting in Season 20 the files are named correctly before S20 I assume we were using STHS 1.whatever?
