AwfulHomesick 148
I don't watch many movies, but his performances always stuck out to me whenever I would have the chance to see them. Before The Devil Knows You're Dead could be my favorite. So sad.

As messed as it may sound, that was my immediate thought after hearing the news. WTF are they going to do? Anyways... RIP. Really sad news, he always stood out no matter what role he was playing. Fire Fletcher 2,618
Harry Potter was able to transition between the two actors whose names escape me right now for Dumbledore. They'll be fine.
Guest
Its not that easy for this title though

Yeah, but that didn't happen in the middle of filming. They're gonna have to re-cast him and re-shoot a ton of the movie, and it's supposed to release this year. sherifflobo 137
Yeah, but that didn't happen in the middle of filming. They're gonna have to re-cast him and re-shoot a ton of the movie, and it's supposed to release this year. The first part is in post production. Part 2 is filming, set to be released in 2015. It was also a lot easier with Harry Potter because transitioning between two old dudes with beards is easier than transition between what they're going to have to do. The beard and glasses are the most iconic parts of Dumbledore's look and help cover up any differences in how they look. This is gonna be just... jarring. Guest
They might as well kill off the character and tweak the story to make it fit
Spangle 49
Part 1 is finished. For Part 2, he had a week left.
Fire Fletcher 2,618
Didn't realize they were that far along in filming. I guess that is kind of a problem.

Admin Victor 9,985 Posted February 3, 2014 Admin Share Posted February 3, 2014 Typical Fong reply. They say the release date won't change. A week of filming should be covered up by redoing the script. Have someone else say his lines, relay messages from him. It's not impossible.
