Roctrion King is a Canadian Player, born from the true north strong and free Duncan B.C.

At the age of 21, he signed with the Yukon Rush at the draft in los Vegas, Nevada at the 17th spot. Before he signed with the Yukon Rush, Roctrion King played high school hockey in outdoor rinks in Winnipeg, Manitoba, before moving back to Duncan, B.C where his mentor, Keaton Louth helped improve Roctrion in his skills.

PROS

 

SKATING: 

  With the height of 6 feet tall, Roctrion has the ability to take long strides to power himself up in order to make himself a faster skater. With every turn he makes with his strides, he will blast by defenders. Roctrion skating looks effortless, almost like he's floating on ice but he can move from one end to the other in a hurry.

 

SCORING:

Roctrion is a greater scorer. Whenever he's not playing, he's on the ice practicing wrist shots, slapshots and one timers from every angle on the ice. He can make goalies stand still, making them think the puck appears to change directions, just like a curveball after it leaves his stick. At the age of 21,  he has a slapshot recorded at 90 mph.

 

PUCKHANDLING:

Roctrion has amazing puck handling speed. Roctrions ability to hold onto the puck is a joy to watch. Impossible to take the puck away once he has the puck , as he dekes out the defenders.. Once he's in the zone, after dekeing out the defenders, the goalies should watch out as he dekes around you.

 

 

CONS

 

DEFENCE:

Roctrion is not the best on defence. He is known for being at the boards waiting for the pass from the defence in order to break out of his zone. When its needed he will come in to help out but in no means a two-way players. he won't be a great defender but given his offensive skills, adding defence will make him more helpful moving forward.

 

PASSING:

Roctrion was born to shoot, not pass. While he can pass and does get assists, most of those assists come in from tip in. Roctrion can be selfish at times when he wants to be. he will need to improve this in order to get more assists.

 

CHECKING:

Roctrion  is very weak when it comes to checking. His lack of strength has led him to not developing a good check. when Roctrion goes to check, its more of a poke to get the puck off a player then taking the body. As Roctrion progresses in his career, he will need to improve better in order to move to the next level.

 

CONCLUSION:

While known for his offensive abilities, Roctrion King is a guy you want for his fierce competition or keeping that lead in order to win the game but his lack of defence and checking is something he will need to improve on.
