Hard to say as a rookie and this season the way it's going. Hopefully one develops next year, organically.

 

2) Are there any teams you'd want to play for, outside of Helsinki?

New York has a lot of history, would be interested in playing for them.

 

3) What do you think is the best part about a sports rivalry?

Nobody takes a night off during those game.

 

4) Would you prefer to have the league leading defense, or offense?

Offense - there's usually a bigger correlation between goals scored and points vs goals allowed.

 

5) Have you ever given a half time speech to your teammates (or, for hockey, period break)? How did it go? If not, have you ever gotten one?

I felt comfortable enough to start doing that last year in my second season in the VHL

 

6) Do you prefer Macs, Window's PCs, or Linux? 

Windows

Piano, easiest to learn and is a must in every band, although grossly underrated

School started and got to meet my friends after what have felt like forever

Losing the ability to see, not being able to see anything like my cat or even anything for that part scares me, I would rather Lose a limb than go blind

If I have? In my good ol' Mississauga days I once scored 7 points in 1 game, I know I was Jesus back then.

 

5) Do you think professional athletes should get to complain about their job?

 

Yes, we do not see it but they train basically every day to become the best they can and we go nuts after a goalie makes a slight mistake after 10s of marvelous saves.

 

6) Have you put in any suggestions for the Suggestion Drive? 

 

No, my 200iq ideas are not worth 3 tpe

Player awards after every season sounds like a blast to me

I've been grown up playing a ton of instruments and piano is the one I find easiest as long as you know what chords to play and how, on the other hand instruments where you have to blow for example the flute or a trumpet you have to mind your mouth positing, how much air you blow out and how to play notes

I'd agree compared to orchestra/instrumental band instruments, but compared to pop/rock music bands with guitar, bass, drums, I'd say piano is harder than all of those haha

Stockholm's logo is pretty fantastic so it gets my superficial vote

Looks like it should help fill an engagement gap for users between the VHLM and the VHL

Probably in the M, to get my feet wet and see if it's something I'd continue

Knowing they're doing their best, like everybody else

Alex Letang is putting up monster numbers for a defenseman

1. Istanbul Red Wolves!!

2. It's exciting and I would say good overall, just hope contraction doesn't happen at all.

3. VHL, I would like the more long term game thinking, I would find it more fun.

2. I believe the Seattle Bears would win the cup.

Probably 10 hours. The free time you for the rest of week is worth it in my opinion.

I think that would pull focus away from rewarding successes of the season it's recognizing

Morning walk/workout, lunch, nap, then gaming!

Different dumbbell exercises, squats, then on the rowing machine

Love the fastest skate competition

Easily the 50 hour job, if you love it you can keep doing it for long periods of time without getting bored.

I have no idea tbh, haven't really been looking too much at other teams this season

No.  It's tons of luck in that league, end up with 2 lucky years and you could have like 4 trophies from there.

Rest, homemade tacos, hockey match in the evening with some chips

 

5) What is your ideal strength and conditioning day?

 

The thing with those days is that you use your body so much that you start to just want to go to sleep on the ground, so the ideal one would be none! buuut I want to answer so:  Wake up, normal morning stuff, something with eggs for breakfast, mentally prepare yourself, lunch, go train hard until your body has to stop you.

The creative shootout event, really interesting to see what people can come up with.

Yes, I've been to way more than I can remember, went to my first one at 6 years old then have watched a majority of Rögle's home games, so I'd day 150-ish+

1. probably the off-season, mainly when you miss the playoffs.

1. Update system favors the early updaters - what's the point of a week ending date?

2. Very active and strong community, produces great content.

1) What is your least favorite part about the VHL?

Don't really have anything tangible, so I suppose it's just getting burned out. Full careers spanning multiple years can be a lot to try and keep up.

 

2) And your favorite part?

A lot of what I get out of the VHL is just building towards something - seeing what happens when I put in work compared to others. I have a competitive streak, and it does well to satisfy it.

 

3) How many teams have you played for in total?

Christ. Well - Seattle, Cologne, Calgary, Riga, Stockholm held my rights for a second, Toronto, Seattle again, Davos, Seattle a third time, New York, D.C., now Helsinki. So, uh, 10th different team?

 

4) Would you rather lose in the first round of playoffs, or come in dead last but get the 1st overall pick in the draft?

It's all about the titles for me, and if that means a full rebuild with the number one pick, that's what you have to do.

 

5) Do you think teams should be punished for tanking?

 

Not at all, it's a viable strategy.  It's on the league to adjust lottery odds so that it's fair. Though I'm also approaching that from the perspective of someone who Trusted the Process so...

 

7) Have you ever been traded?

Only once - when Calgary knew I was heading to FA with Wingate and wanted to get something for me before I did. Of course, they ended up losing the finals in Game 7 after a bad goaltending performance, so...
