Yeah, its a bit of a dumb system.

 

Anyway, as much as I’d love to be bias and vote for myself it’s obvious it needs to be Cast.

Yeah hard to argue for anyone other than Cast here. Stropko is still a good goalie in a season that didn't have a lot of them, but even if put those lower stats into a higher perspective due to that, Cast had the best season of anyone not named Campbell or Slobo. I mean. *looks at award name* Like yeah, the definition isn't it?

That's quite interesting. Personally I feel the best Slobo ballots have 3-4 options because really what's the point of bloating it? Another debate to be held hah

To be fair I said I’m pretty sure that’s what I was doing the few seasons I ran it. Every year realistically only has like 2-5 realistic candidates but different people like voting for different things (goalie vs forward vs D, whatever) so I liked giving options. Ultimately it’s up to the award head to decide he nominees he wants.

Yeah but I'm fine with more people on the ballot, it doesn't hurt anything. I'd have probably gone a little more forward-heavy, proportionally I think there were fewer d that had great seasons, but there's no negative impact to more people on the ballot.
