1. What drew you to the VHL?
2. What type of player do you plan to become in the VHL?

1. Well I've always had a thing for online for realistic simulations where one can interact and effect the outcome but there is a still an element of chance involved. Perhaps the biggest of all my interests is the one that I have developed for hockey. This was a perfect combo of the two and I was ecstatic to come upon it. I actually found the VHL through a TacTixHD YouTube video in which he recommended this to his viewers. I came to check it out right away.

 

2. Well everyone strives to be the perfect player when they join, but in real life no one is perfect. Everyone has weaknesses. So to keep it on the realistic side, I'm going to attempt to become a super fast winger who doesn't care about defense at all and gets lots of breakaway goals and points. The kind of player who you'll have to make up for on defense but it's still worth having him out there for his offense and speed. Pretty big guy too but not super physical. Think, Jake Virtanen.

 

3. Hmm. Don't know what your into but UP is always a good standby even though its meant for kids. I don't watch lots of movies but a good sci-fi space kinda movie is sure to entertain. I personally enjoyed Arival, The Martian, Interstellar, any MI or James Bond, but as I say, I'm not much of a movie guy. I think you'd be best off asking someone on a movie discord or something like that.

 

4. I have enjoyed it the right way. Basically I don't take anything too seriously and stay away from the Boom_Shack discord channel. Post weekly to earn TPE. Read what others have made. Get involved where I can and make sure Bana doesn't hear me say I don't like porn or something because he gets triggered about that easily.

1. Yes, I prefer it although I am probably a bit better at soccer but I think soccer is really boring to watch.

2. Not intentionally. The name John Madden is just a bit of a meme with my friends. I don't know where it came from but we would always randomly say it during class and such. Moonbase Alpha had something to do with it. I had no idea at the time that John Madden was the football legend which EA's Madden series is named after or that there was an NHL player with that name.

3. Yes, but not a very high level. I'm a huge NHL nerd though and I love playing GM and Be A Pro type games as well as doing interviews like this and pretending you are a real professional athlete.

4. I hope to be a name that will be remembered. Doesn't matter how people remember me, as long as they do.

5. Ah no, my player is under-aged as well as my real-life self. (Both 17) But when I turn 18, you can expect to find the local liquor stores out of stock everyday during the off-season. I always stay in bad shape until there's a week left before the season and then I start working out and getting in shape. When I start, I'm usually pretty out of it and I often get better and better as the season goes on.

1.) I think both Helsinki Titans and HC Davos Dynamo are awesome ones but I think I'd have to go with Helsinki by a narrow margin.

2.) Oslo Storm, no question. I'd but the Wild in second.

3.) I would change two things but since you asked for only one, that's what I'll give you. I'd make it so players who join pre-draft bypass the upcoming draft and get chosen in the next one. This way, everyone would be in the same boat and it would be a chance for players who joined just before the draft to catch up with the post-draft guys who've had a whole season to prepare and it would weed out the inactive ones so GMs wouldn't be stuck with dead-weight free agents and draft picks. Plus there would be no more signing the undrafted or post-draft players and instead they'd have to wwait for draft day. Really hard to explain but if someone is interested in implementing this, contact me and I'll try to explain it better.

4.) The sense of community. How everyone knows everyone and supports eachother. I love how you asking me these questions rewards both of us with TPE. It gives incentive to help eachother out.

5.) Team success, I'm fully comitted as an AGM to Oslo and as a player to Halifax. I would be willing to be traded so my team can win a cup, even if I don't get to be part of it. Just knowing I helped someone accomplish something is good enough for me.

1. As you can see Bana, both are very good fighters. Neither require a weapon to beat each other up. Trudeau beat a big boy up in the boxing ring a few years back.

Trump is also very skilled with a fist as he once destroyed fellow billionaire, Vince McMahon. Just watch and be amazed and the American president himself, shows off his knuckles of iron.

Overall Bana, I think Trump would have a big edge as he is the bigger of the two boys and he doesn't wear gloves so his punches will be much more devastating. Twas a very good question you asked and I hope this gives you a better idea of why you should never mess with em.

 

2. Cigarettes. They smell like tobacco before lit which isn't a bad smell.

 

3. Favourite to watch hockey and I like the Anaheim Ducks. I don't play hockey as much as soccer though and if I had to pick a favourite soccer team, it would be my province local team, the Vancouver Whitecaps.

 

4. If these are the women you like, then our tastes are very different. I probably wouldn't fuck any of em. But if I was trying to pick the best order, Margot Robbie is kinda hot so I'd fuck her, then I would marry Blake Lively and kill Beyoncé.

1. Pajamas, Headphones, Pair of Vans, Blanket x2, Box of Chocolates, Backgamon Board Game, $50 Game Giftcard, Hockey Book x3, LOTR Related Book, Sweat Pants, Alarm Clock.

2. Watched Will Ferrell's Elf with family. My Grandpa laughs at a few of the scenes in the movie and its really funny when he does because of the way he laughs. It's become a family tradition.

3. Haven't really thought about it yet as its only been New Years for 3 hours and 39 minutes here, but I would probably choose to spend less time on electronics.

4. Yes, there is a lot of pressure. I don't want to disappoint my GM. Already, by staying down, I have lost immense TPE and am now miles behind the rest of my draft class. I hope my GM doesn't feel he wasted his 6th pick on me as lots of other players chosen after me are now miles ahead in TPE.

5. It's not a question of what I would get him. It's a question of what I got him. I got him a Christmas miracle by convincing the commissioners to allow me to play for Halifax another season. He would have been kind of screwed if I didn't. Just kidding, he doesn't need me.

6. I believe on positive intentions. You always have to believe what you really want and then its more likely to come true. I think Halifax will win the cup this season and it will be joy for all.

1. John, Halifax off to a strong start with a 5-2-1 record in the first 8 games. What has been the key to your team's early success?

2. Split the home-and-home with Vegas, losing the home game and winning in Vegas. What was the overall feel of the team heading into Vegas after dropping that big home game?

Oh not sure if you saw, but I was pissed man. I put like hundreds of TPE into the transition only to be FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY so a welfare player could play. I worked in out with Shawn though and I'll still get to play center for most of the season.

Davos memes are great. Since I wasn't actually playing for Davos last season, I found them just as funny as anyone. If we continue doing trash this season though and the memes keep coming, I might start hating them.

Very happy when I heard the news. Malenko stepped into our LR and instantly made his presence known until he was traded. He is probably the most influential Davos player of all time, and he even played a game.

No one wants to play against that kid. I've played with him for 1.5 seasons and played with him as a kid, never played against him but I don't really want to. He would dump me on my head easily.

If you're referring the world cup one, I think its really stupid. I spent like an hour posting comments on every game to get in the lotto and then after I was done, someone told me there was a resim coming.

Listen, I applied for a head job in S63. Didn't get it. I was then hired as an AGM. After that, I applied for Brand Exec and WJC GM both in S63. Got neither job. Near the end of S63, I quit my job with Oslo, only to be told that Trifecta had plans to give me the team the next month. Became the Halifax AGM. In S64, I applied for WJC GM again, didn't get the job. At the end of the season, I made it very clear that I wanted an expansion team. Didn't get one. I then applied for WC GM and Brand Executive again and I actually got the brand exec job. So after like 8 attempts, I've finally landed a GM role, even though its of a brand, so at the pace I'm going it could take years before I get a real job. One day though.

1. What are your thoughts on your season?

Obviously not a great season for Davos as a whole, but rebuilding is a necessary step to take when trying to improve. I know we'll just come back stronger soon enough. I personally enjoyed the season, still having fun being the captain and I had 36 goals, which is the first time in my career I've broken the 30 goal mark.

2. Who do you think wins MVP?

The obvious answer is Borwinn, seeing as he won the scoring title, but I think Wilinsky and Peace both have outside shots at it, as they carried their teams into the playoffs almost single-handedly

3. Who has been your teams best player?

Well, we have a young inexperienced team, and I'm really the only veteran left, so I'd say I was, but I won't be for much longer. I'm kind of the torch passer or role model between the Crimson / Davison / Jokinen era and the new one.

4. If the VHLM were to move Mexico but keep logo/name, where would you rebrand em to?

Probably Santa Fe, or somewhere with Mexican influence. Maybe San Antonio. I also like the name Cincinnati Kings for some reason, even it wouldn't make sense to have an Aztec-themed team in the middle of Ohio.

5. What are your thoughts on 12 days of Christmas?

Awful song, absolutely terrible.
