Team Canada: Defending Gold - S63 WJC

The comparison on paper between the season S62 and S63 Canadian WJC rosters will show come obvious improvements. Defensively, Canada had just one defender above 100 TPE. This season they enter the tournament with three including two at or above 200. Their cast of forwards and goaltending have also vastly improved. Canada will have two potential starting goalies in Kevin Weekes (gold medal returnee) and Brick Wahl; early edge to Brick who has caught the eye of anyone who follows the VHLM. On the offensive side, Canada's lowest TPE player has 156; compare that to 110 in S62. Eight players will return to the world juniors to assist Team Canada in their quest to defend the gold medal. Canada's GM is also a familiar face as he is contending for his 3rd straight gold medal as a GM for Hockey Canada.
