Europe starts well

Four games into the S63 WJC, Europe has three wins from those! Great start, especially when comparing to previous tournament where Europe won three games out of eight during the whole round robin, so this year could be the one where Europe goes all the way. Key element in this years awesome start has been the defense and more so the offensive side of it, Paolo Nano is leading the team in scoring with eight points and Baxter is second with six points, those totals are also the third and fourth best in the whole tournament!

Quite interestingly, in the tournaments top-10 scoring list you see five defenders, three of them in the top-5. Nice to see two of the Europeans in there, still slightly worrying that the best European forward Zajaczkowski has ´only´ three points, multiple others sitting at two. Even if it has been just four games and another four still left in the round robin, need to get the forward group on the scoreboard as well, cant rely this heavily on Baxters dominating performance on the powerplay or Nano taking the game on his back and doing whatever he wants on the ice, eventually the other teams will find a way to stop Nano and Baxter.

(209, +1 uncapped for the WJC special event)
