Halifax vs Expansion

This coming VHLM season, Halifax finds themselves in a relatively good spot to get through the expansion draft without losing anything too big, but at the same time, they should be able to stay competitive. This season, Halifax decided to go all in and contend for a third season straight. In doing this, they traded most of their draft picks for the upcoming season. Halifax doesn't have a ton of depth but they have lots of talent condensed into 5 or 6 returning players, a format that works perfectly for the expansion draft. There core for next season consists of top-end defenseman Bolt Vanderhuge, young goalie Chase Klein, flashy sniper Anton Edvin, steady d-man Basaraba Moose, and an all-rounded centerman named Teagan Glover. Whether or not Kozlov, the big bear from Russia comes back for a second season is hard to say, but if he does, Halifax will have 6 solid players to start the season, one at each position. The protection in the expansion draft will be the biggest speed bump when trying to continue as a contender, but it probably won't prove that difficult as Halifax GM McWolf always has some tricks up his sleeve.
