New season, same Kai

ST. PAUL, MN - Days change, Matthew Kai stays the same. The new VHLM season as just started and it seems like Matthew Kai is in the same form as the start of last year's season. As a returning player in the VHLM, he should be dominating the league, but he looks like experts were wrong when they placed him in the top 10 players to look for this season. The Vancouver Wolves are probably not too happy with his performance so far as he's being completely outplayed by his fellow draftees and Storm teammates, Denver Wolfe and Matteo.

The 8th overall pick in last year's VHL draft had a lot of expectations after being drafted in the first round and with the powerhouse that Minnesota has assembled, especially on offense. With a single goal in 4 games, the South Korean goalscorer can't be happy with his performance, either.

"The team s having a slow start, some of the guys are having nutty numbers right now, but the team only has a win in 4 games and it's absolutely unacceptable. I need to step my game up, the team needs to step up and we're hoping our fans will continue to be as loud as we know they can be to make sure that we have that 7th player on the ice with us at home. We want to give them wins, we want to give them a Cup and we know that they're behind us even with this slow start."
