Jean Claude-Paul Scouting Report

Height: 6’4

Handiness: Left

Weight: 202 lbs

Jersey Number: #92

Hometown: London, France

Born: December 30,2002

Position: Left Wing

Nickname : “Thick-Accent”

Biography:

Jean was a black kid in a poor middle class in the middle of London, watching a game of a team in the EFL, when suddenly the remote slipped out of his hand. It landed on the ground when suddenly the channel switched to ESPN, when the Houston Bulls were destroying the Yukon Rush. That’s when Jean knew he had to join the VHLM with the goal eventually going to the VHL. Has a very thick french accent but can get through to his teammates due to his inexhaustible charisma.

Strengths:

Scoring : Jean loves putting the puck in the back of the net. Jean’s accurate shot and his solid combination of his size and height always makes whoever in goal look foolish. He also loves to aim for the corners of the goal net; makes it harder for the goalie to pinpoint the puck location. Jean has a cannon of an slap-shot, it sounds like a rocket launcher when going off. Jean has a pretty decent penalty shot, he always has tricks up his sleeve.

Size: Jean is a towering 6 feet 4, and he uses all his weight when making crucial plays on the ice. His most favorite thing to do his to harass the defense into the corner to make them feel pressured to do a stupid play. Another thing Jean loves to do is net battling with defenders. He loves digging in the trenches to find the puck.

Skating: Surprisingly Jean is a pretty nimble guy when gliding down the ice. His leg mechanics and size make for a deadly combo on the ice especially when he is on cloud nine (in the zone); Jean makes it hard for the defenders to poke check him when he's already 2 feet ahead of them, due to his adequate speed.

Weaknesses:

Attitude: Jean is a pretty demanding guy on and off the ice. Jean always feels like it's his job to carry the load. Jean wants all the glory the comes with scoring and can make it hard for teammates to set up plays, but he can dial it back if the coach is really on him. It can make Jean hard to use in Critical situations.

Passing : Jean on most plays is just looking for a way to score. You would find him hard pressed to pass to an open teammate for a one-timer. Jean has a very hard time trying to bank a pass off the side of the rink. If you trap jean in the ice 6 out of 10 times he will produce a turnover.

Defense: Jean defense is not a plus defender on most nights. He mostly just tries to use his big frame to make the defense lose the puck instead of using his IQ or stick. Often looks lost when trying to defend against a breakaway.

Review: My suggestion would be to add a picture or two to make the bio a little more realistic and to give the league an image of what your player may look like. Also maybe make the skills under strength / cons a different color (eg Skating: Surprisingly Jean is a pretty .etc). Other then that well written scouting report :)
