1. How is your off-season going?

This is the weirdest off season ever with the whole stay at home situation. Mostly just trying to keep myself occupied, watching Netflix and playing video games.

 

2. Who do you think is going to go on to win the VHLM cup?

I think Yukon is probably gonna take it. They were really good all season long.

 

3. If you went up right now, which VHL team would you want to play for?

I'm not really sure to be honest, it would be kind of cool to play for the hometown Toronto Legion.

 

4. What are your goals for next season?

I really want to establish myself as one of the top young players in the game. It's going to be tough but I have what it takes.

 

5. If you had to switch positions right now, what would you switch to?

Once upon a time I was a goalie, so I think I would choose that.

 

6. Do you have any good youtube videos you've been watching lately?

1. Decent, I recntly decided to come back to this game. Somehow my guy's put up two 40 point seasons.

2. Honestly havent been paying attention.

3. I got drafted by Calgary in S70, so I guess them.

It's so ughhh... let's face it being cooped up after announcing my identity to the league and still waiting for those changes to be applied and stuck in Mexico City not able to go outside. So damn hard to be honest.

 

2. Who do you think is going to go on to win the VHLM cup?

Not a clue to be honest.. if it isn't Mexico City.. why bother watching

 

3. If you went up right now, which VHL team would you want to play for?

Not a clue, I came here first before checking my email to see if anyone would actually want me.

 

4. What are your goals for next season?

With how little training I got compared to some others in my draft class. I feel its best I return to the minors for another season or two.

 

5. If you had to switch positions right now, what would you switch to?

Being a 6 foot 8 defender is fun but if I had to switch. I would be a centerman or a goalie.

 

6. Do you have any good youtube videos you've been watching lately?

I've been nerding it out and watching people play video games. I need a new gaming computer to be able to keep up so to get my fix since I can't afford a new one now. I've just been watching people play games. Yes I know... NERD

My bet is on Ottawa.  They were a powerhouse this year.

1. Who do you think is going to get drafted 1st overall in the VHLM and you do you think is going to go first overall in the VHL?

That SS Hornet looks like slam dunk 1st overall pick in the VHL draft, and in the dispersal draft I think Lucas Brandt or even my former teammate Chris Hylands has a shot to go first.

 

2. What's the best part of the season for you?

Just playing hockey.  It's a rollercoaster, just enjoy the rode while it lasts.

 

3. Do you have any summer/off-season sports you play to stay in shape?

Mostly just weightlifting and staying in shape is key for me.

 

4. How do you think the Kings will do next season?

Anything better than a last place finish would be great!

 

5. If each player got an individual goal song what would yours be?

Hmm, Korn - Here to Stay.  That booming intro...

 

6. If/when you win a cup, how will you celebrate?

Eat some sun chips, not giving a fffffffff... BANGARANG!

Well I can tell you it isn't going to be me that's for sure! Probably Brandt if I were to guess.

 

2. What's the best part of the season for you?

Playoffs for sure. Everybody's competitive edge gets brought out and everybody loves those win or go home games.

 

3. Do you have any summer/off-season sports you play to stay in shape?

So far I haven't even looked at the gym. I should probably get on that.

 

4. How do you think the Kings will do next season?

I think they're gonna be one of the top teams next season for sure. Either 1st or 2nd place I would imagine.

 

5. If each player got an individual goal song what would yours be?

6. If/when you win a cup, how will you celebrate?

I will be putting myself in to a burrito coma that will last for months on end.

I'd have to say Walker or Frostbeard for VHLM and SS Hornet was already taken first in the VHL draft.

2. What's the best part of the season for you?

It was clearly the playoffs. As I put up 16 points in 17 games as a defenseman. Far better than my regular season scoring pace.

3. Do you have any summer/off-season sports you play to stay in shape?

Just hockey. Keeping it simple.

4. How do you think the Kings will do next season?

Hopefully better than the last season.

5. If each player got an individual goal song what would yours be?

Not sure I have one in particular. Probably one with heavy bass.

6. If/when you win a cup, how will you celebrate?

Luckily I won the cup with the Bears this season and I celebrated by bringing it home to my family and having a party with all of my aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

I honestly like our chances to be honest. We have some amazing people backstopped by one hell of a goalie. If we all head to the gym as much as we can then we can even be that much better.

Sorry but I gotta go with Hylands. We trained together all last season. Gotta keep the tradition alive

2. For those of you who were drafted, are you surprised at your draft position. For those not drafted how do you feel about Chris Hylands @Hylands33 going first overall?

 

For me and all that's I've been through in the VHL it felt really weird to get drafted after spending last season on 2 teams and getting a cup with Ottawa.

 

3. What is your main goal this season?

 

The make a name for myself. Last season was all about learning and adapting. I think now it's my time to shine.

 

4. What do you think the Kings chances are this season?

 

I think we've got what it takes to make a good playoff push. Seeing all the top teams burning a lot for last season and seeing what Mexico has stocked up, I think we've got what it takes.

 

5. The kings are looking for a new mascot, what do you think it should be?

 

I don't know, but we definitely shouldn't be taking any notes from Los Angeles. I get a lion, but I think better can be done.

 

6. Who are you picking as your training partner on the team this year?

 

Maybe me and Jay Jones will revive our old team mate friend ship. We'll see.

I have to admit, I was a little surprised being drafted 1st overall but deep down I knew @Motzaburger would put his faith in me.

Things are looking up for the Kings, and last season is but a distant memory now!

Felt the gears turning for a while. Was thinking I'd be skipped over at 14 and picked up later in the second, but I'm glad our benevolent GM kept the boys in town.

3. What is your main goal this season?

Cup or bust, all the way.

4. What do you think the Kings chances are this season?

We'll have three VHL ready players by mid season, mixed in with players who'll be in contention for the all VHLM teams. We gotta be favourites.

My dog, Charlie, is a chihuahua. I'll throw him into the mix.

Yeah we're getting the work done out there. Hopefully we can keep this momentum through the season.

2. How have your stats been? Are you doing as well as you wanted this season?

Anything is better then my last years stats, so I'm happy. I think we can connect for a few more during the clutch, but that's something we gotta work on.

3. Who do you think is going to be the star player for the Kings this season?

Captain Chris. Dude is ready to light up the VHL and he's still down here with us.

4. Who do you think is going to be the King's biggest rival this year?

Minnesota has a tough roster, but anything can happen in a hockey game and numbers only matter off the ice. 

5. Tag a teammate and what random skill they bring to the team?

@Tape-to-Tape is an absolute stud. He's got like, a 3 game shutout streak rolling? That's the type of goalie I want come playoff time.

Good, good. He scratches his nose furiously. Love getting the time to put some work in and you know, suns out guns out.
