Minnesota Trying To Find Their Stride [1/2]

With Minnesota now eleven games into the season with a 6-5 record, the Storm are doing their best to find their stride. Starting the season with a 4-1 roll that was capitalized with back-to-back shootout wins for the Storm, they looked like they were quickly placing themselves at the top of the league and continuing last years success. However, they have since stumbled to the sixth spot in the rankings. 

 

Having the chance to speak with members of the coaching team about the teams performance so far they stressed that it is still very early in the season and there are going to be some growing pains that will have to be worked through. "We have a lot of great young guys on the team, but they are young. They have been doing more than we even expected of them so far, and I know they are going to settle in even more as the season goes on. Don't sleep on these boys."

 

It is impossible to deny that these fresh-faced players have already taken leadership. With ten goals and thirteen points on the season, Mat Tocco has already positioned himself as the offensive quarterback of this team. With the combination of Mat Tocco leading the offensive drives and Boone Jenton bolstering the defensive side of the ice with a team high of both twenty-five shots blocked and thirty-four hits, this team definitely seems like it is moving in the right direction. It will be exciting to see how Minnesota develops as the season goes on.

Review: This was last season in the VHLM so it's interesting to see this from the future. Great write up which would be a great if it was accompanied with a gif or an image. Other then that, I enjoyed reading the write up!
