Round 4, Pick 32: Lebron King Gonzalez

Season 25 Regular Season - 72 GP | 10 W | 61 L | 1 OTL | 21 P | 133 GF | 348 GA

The Wrangler rebuild continued into Season 25 with a pitiful 21 point showing with just 10 wins and 1 OTL. Yup. you read that right, the Wranglers finished with 61 losses on the season. The Wranglers were the worst team in the VHL and it wasn't even close as the next highest team had 30 points on them. The Wranglers are still trying to build up from their last championship run in Season 23 but this draft class was no help to them with German Khadretsev and Lebron King Gonzalez as late round picks.

Defensive Defenseman Lars Intranquilo led the team in scoring with 60 points this season. That again goes to show you how badly the team struggled for scoring. However, Lars was a very fine and loyal player in his time and his legend continues to grow as the seasons pass in Calgary. Redacted was the main man in net and he didn't fare very well with a 9-53-1 record with a 0.856 sv% and a 4.85 G.A.A. Derek Boogaard was the top forward with 28 goals and 53 points.

Overall

The Wranglers are still in the depths of their rebuild and it doesn't look like help is on the way of any kind since the team has not had any luck with draft picks the last two drafts. They traded away plenty of picks and the picks they did keep were low picks and they were unable to unearth any late round gems. Lars Intranquilo with this recent season (25) has moved into the most games played all time with 360. He also is the highest scoring defenseman with 285 points and is close to being the 4th player to crack 300 career points. Jeff Dar becomes 10th player to crack 100 points and he did it in 3 seasons. David Vidal looks to crack the 100 career point mark next season.

Eric LaJeunesse owns the distinction of worst plus/minus with a -150 rating. Lars furthers his PIM lead with 775 in his Wrangler career, he also adds to his shots blocked lead with a total of 698 and he also moves into 2 in hits with 1048. Redacted bare cracks 10 career wins this past season and is the career loss holder with 83. He doesn't have the worst save percentage though as that still goes to Zach Hennig.
