Two great teams are taking the ice tonight for a first round match-up that is going to be a thriller to watch. Halifax 21^st, the 2^nd seed, going up against the San Diego Marlins, 7^th seed. Both teams know each other well. During the regular season, Halifax holds the edge in wins with a record of 5-2 against the Marlins. This is the playoffs, those stats and games are gone and not even in the memories of the players. This is a new season, a fresh start. Both teams are out to prove they are the best and I believe there will be some fireworks in this series.

 

The Marlins have some very talented players, especially on the backend, including their goal tenders. They look to put a stop to the high tempo Halifax 1^st and 2^nd lines that have been on fire the last half of the season.

 

Halifax 21^st might not be as seasoned on defense as the Marlins, but they do have a great core of defenseman that know their roles and work well as a team. It will be fun to watch the back and forth play between these two teams. Both teams are truly, in it, to win it.
