Nine of the names currently in the BOG are former commissioners, and/or have jobs that would require access to discussions pertaining to the league. Fong is a returning member, but will mostly be a window for the community in general to stay updated on current discussions, as well as help make sure that nothing falls through the cracks, in terms of suggestions/complaints directed towards Bek and I. We felt it important to add some new voices, and held a discussion on potential members and their fit in the BOG. Also, like Flyersfan said, not everybody is around at all times, so having a couple more people than we've usually had means discussions can flow smoother, with more opinions being added. There's nothing offensive in them, just stupid bickering, and we already have enough of a problem of having discussion/all activity going on in Discord. This isn't like thunderdome or a LR or an off topic discussion thread. We should be keeping things on topic where we can as well as ensuring that important threads have useful discussion ongoing as it affects the image of the league and it should be part of our responsibilities to keep things on topic. Because limiting bickering and trying to create a good image reduces fun? I don't know if you've noticed but people don't consider it fun to see this bickering especially on an announcement post.
