We begin

The season has begun. NY Americans are off and running. With players fresh out of the minors, the team is beginning to take shape. It is going to be a fun season with expectations set maybe a bar higher than the previous season. There isn't any misconception about where we are and how we will do. We know that this is a good step in the right direction but only one of the beginning steps. There will be a lot of ups and downs during the season, but with a brighter future, the downs are easier to take.

 

Our new players are coming in with a great attitude and are working hard to gain the skill required to be in the VHL. It is always fun to have new faces on the team. Each brings a new bag of tricks that can translate into success once we jell as a team.

 

With the lines we have, it seems that we can compete a bit more and we can see what the future will bring. Hard work and patience are going to be key to laying the foundation that is needed to be a contender in the next few seasons. I believe we will surpass our goal. The leadership of the team is on top of things and has delivered with good draft picks and a road map going forward.

 

It's a great time to be a part of this team. NY Americans are getting better.
