This is a prospect that has a successful player pedigree when it comes to his Player Agency, but declared for the draft rather late in the season. Lagesson only spent 56 games with the Marlins but amounted 111 Hits and 51 Shots Blocked. He also recorded 32 points after coming in halfway through the season. San Diego snuck into the playoffs, but scouts prepare to focus in on Lagesson to see how his late development will translate into playoff success. This is a smooth skating defenseman who can contribute offensively, but is always on the right side of the puck.
