1. How many players have won the Alexander Beketov Trophy in non-consecutive years? (Credit and 1 uncapped TPE to @rjfryman)

Almost everyone who's won the trophy more than once weirdly. 11 players have led the league in assists more than twice but only 2 did so in consecutive seasons (caveat: Conner Low did do that also in S39 and S40, but qualifies for "non-consecutive" criteria giving he also won the Bek in S37).

 

2. Which VHL expansion franchise made its first finals appearance quickest (i.e. fewest seasons from formation)?

Malmo just this season did make some history by making the finals in just their third season of existence, beating Quebec's old record of 5 seasons. Quebec did win the cup in S35 though, so that record remains up for grabs for all of the 4 recent expansion teams.
