Vancouver Wolves Off to Hot Start

Vancouver, British Columbia – The Vancouver Wolves are off to a very hot start to the season. Through their first 8 games they are currently 7-1-0 and sit first in the Victory Hockey League.

This strong start is being led by three players sitting at ten points. Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Shawnomir Jagr and Michael Gary Scott are these players. On defense they have Diljodh Starload with eight points as well as Jagger Philliefan and Jeff Downey sitting with seven points. Overall they have had a very balanced attack offensively with no one really acting as an offensive liability.

Maybe the most surprising part of the start has been the strong play of their backup goaltender QUE G. It has not been a secret in past seasons that the Vancouver Wolves’ general manager has struggled to meet the minimum number of backup goaltender starts required to meet the league rules. This season they have decided to counteract this issue that has now happened twice by playing all eight of their backups games in the first ten games of the season. While many critics believed this may lead to the Wolves struggling out of the game it hasn’t been that way at all and their backup is currently sitting with a 6-1 record.
