We'll comeback and win everything, I just like giving people a show, an end of season comeback is always a great show. Also my dealer is on strike so once he's back we'll be chillin.

2. Do you have any favorite players in the VHL?

Once I get in I will.

That Happy Gilmore guy was my boi, but the other teams can do the golf part first.

4. Do you have any game day superstitions?

Pre-game drinks baby!

5. Do you plan to go to the VHLE when it opens up?

I don't know what that is, but yes.

6. What is your goal to accomplish this season?

I WILL have the most points by the end of the season

Taking an old one for the week of August 15 because I just got here and can:

 

 

1. Are you doing anything exciting while in San Diego?

For me right now it's all about taking in some sweet sunshine and waves. There's a lot of sun in Houston too of course, but the beaches? Can't compare.

 

2. What are you doing to improve your player?

I've been working a lot on my reflexes lately - agility, hand speed, that sort of thing. When you're a dude of my size you have an advantage, but tend to be a bit slower as well.

 

3. What can the Marlins Management do to be better for you?

Nothing that I've noticed so far, have enjoyed my time here. Management has been responsive to the players, and have enjoyed the level of feedback I've gotten.

 

4. Do you do any extra drills after practice to improve your skills?

Absolutely, any chance I have to put in work I'm taking. I have some VHL and VHLE GMs to impress, after all, and hard work is the best way to do it.

 

5. Where do you see your player in a few seasons?

It's a bit conceited to say one of the best goalies in the VHL, but I think I can get there pretty quickly. With my rate of hard work, and some of the current best goalies getting older, I think I'll get there sooner than many expect.

 

6. Does ketchup belong on a hotdog?

Belong? Not necessarily. But I'm also fine if people do too. You gotta live your life man, don't give in to the anti-ketchup haters if that's your truth.

2. Who do you think will be the biggest impact player for the remainder of this season? 

3. What areas do you think the team need to improve? If so, where, and why?

5. What is the routine of your player, what does a pre-game ritual look like? 

6. Which team in the VHLM, VHLE or VHL has your favorite logo? Why?

1. We are half-way through the season, how do you expect the season to finish? 

With my team in the playoff obviously.

2. Who do you think will be the biggest impact player for the remainder of this season? 

John Baard has been killing it for us in the 12 games he's played here, probably has more to give.

3. What areas do you think the team need to improve? If so, where, and why? 

We don't have too much defense, might me a good idea to add more good players there if possible.

4. What kind of miracle do you think we need to complete to make it to the playoffs? 

Miracle? We will get in, the other teams think we are weak, we just playing weasel.

5. What is the routine of your player, what does a pre-game ritual look like? 

I feel ready once I leave the bar.

6. Which team in the VHLM, VHLE or VHL has your favorite logo? Why?

Houston Bulls have a sick logo, and a great 2 player team.

I dunno really, our strong suit right now is our depth and the ability to fire on all cylinders to press other teams.

Always need more defense and it’s true for every team everywhere. The more we can do to help our goalie out then the better off we’ll be.

We don’t need a miracle. Everything we need is in this locker room

If I forget the backwards hat then it’s all over for me that game.

either the phantoms or the new Berlin steel logo for sure.

1. I'm hoping we make a great playoff run!

3. Defense, for sure. It's so hard to find defenders right now.

We're looking a lot better for the playoffs now, and I see no reason for the momentum to stop. 6th seed or bust, baby!

 

2. Who do you think will be the biggest impact player for the remainder of this season?

Is it weird to say me? But I think it's me. Getting a few shutouts already really helps out, and I feel confident I'll be able to continue playing well.

 

3. What areas do you think the team need to improve? If so, where, and why?

Consistency, mostly. I think we've got the talent, but we've also gotten shelled by the top teams like the Hounds a few times. I'd like to see some good performances competing with the best of the best.

 

4. What kind of miracle do you think we need to complete to make it to the playoffs?

No miracle at all, just some old fashioned updating and hard work. I think we're already getting there quite nicely.

 

5. What is the routine of your player, what does a pre-game ritual look like?

Some players like to get pumped up and whipped into a frenzy, but I've always been much more of the opposite. Give me a quiet space, a chance to calm my mind and get it right, and I'll be fine.

 

6. Which team in the VHLM, VHLE or VHL has your favorite logo? Why?

I've always been partial to the Titans logo, just because I think it's clean. But of course with Vasteras coming back, I hope the old Iron Eagles logo makes an appearance as well.

Not too crazy for me, but I am not the top guy, I am a support guy right now.

It doesnt matter, we WILL be moving up in the standing before we go down.

I personally think that this whole team did great. It's obvious that we are firing on all cylinders to stay in the playoff race.

I really like the lines we are rolling right now and our chemistry is really helping us hang in with those tougher teams.

We need to control the puck as much as possible. the less chances we give teams like that of challenging our goalie, the better.

4. Who do you think is our Locker Room MVP at this midpoint of the regular season?

Gotta shout out the front office here. They are always vocal and willing to help us out whenever we need it.
5. How do you feel about going up against Halifax in the first round of playoffs? Assuming the standing stay the same.

Then It's a guaranteed ticket to the second round for sure. We've beat them before and we can do it more.

6. How did you end up in the position you currently play?

Well I'm a lefty and I really like tip-ins so its a natural evolution.

It could have been better. I was really hoping I could help spur the team to a 7 seed by the end of the season, but a rough spot means it's going to be a tough thing to accomplish.

I don't know specifically about pairings, but particularly against the top teams it'd be good to play around a bit. If we do end up playing the Hounds, we'll have to pull a rabbit out of our hats, so why not start the tests now?

I'm all for a high variance strategy - whatever that means, I'm not too well-versed in hockey strategy. I think it's ultimately going to be a bit of luck, and if I can stand on my head.

 

4. Who do you think is our Locker Room MVP at this midpoint of the regular season?

I've been really impressed by Baard since he arrived in San Diego around the same time I did. Not only an absolute beast on the ice, but he's keeping the engagement up in the LR as well.

5. How do you feel about going up against Halifax in the first round of playoffs? Assuming the standing stay the same.

Is there anything else to say but that we're going to win? Even as the lower seed, need to stay confident that we're going to take whoever's across from us.

 

6. How did you end up in the position you currently play?

You have to be a certain bit of crazy to play goalie, with all of the hard shots and talent on the the offensive side of things. Luckily, I'm more than a little bit crazy.

Just to sweep all those kids up until the daycare calls the parents to take them home.

No, I thought that wed make it to first, but it doesn't matter, as long as we make it to the playoffs, that's all we need to win everything... like we will do soon.
