1. How do you feel we did in the draft?

I think that the front office did a really nice job in the draft. A complete overhaul of the team and I think they've put together a pretty strong roster!

2. If you are a newcomer to the squad, what do you look forward to doing most? If you are a veteran, how do you feel to play along side of the new draftees?

As a vet I can't wait to get the new guys into the squad and get to work! Its always fun to get new teammates and these guys are hungry to prove themselves, so im excited to see what they bring to the table.

3. Which is more important: Ice Time or Success?

At this point in my career I think success is more important. I came to SDM looking for ice time because I wanted to get the opportunity to develop, but with my last season in the VHLM looming I want to win!

4. What is your pre-game workout routine?

I just listen to my playlist and get a good stretch in before I do a couple laps around the ice. Joji really gets me hyped!

5. Are you excited for what might happen next season?

For sure! This team is really well built and I can see them being competitive well into the future

6. Will we be a contender or a rebuilding next season?

Is this even a question? Of course we're going for the cup! We are in prime position for making a run at the cup and I wouldn't expect anything less from the team at the moment.

1. How do you feel we did in the draft?

- I am bias as I did the drafting but I felt like it went smooth overall, some rocky situations I would've liked to now avoid but overall a very successful and well-rounded draft.

2. If you are a newcomer to the squad, what do you look forward to doing most? If you are a veteran, how do you feel to play along side of the new draftees?

- I am looking forward to just growing with the core, it's a rare case that you are a GM with your own player on the team so I just look forward to the experience of it all.

3. Which is more important: Ice Time or Success?

Success for me, at both the GM and player level. I'm planning to play myself less minutes to give others the opportunity to experience max minutes and hopefully have some fun this season.

4. What is your pre-game workout routine?

- Can never go wrong with an ice bath, I do it before every game with enough time to get ready. I like to shock the system before each game.

5. Are you excited for what might happen next season?

- Always hyped and excited, going to be a very fun season.

6. Will we be a contender or rebuilding next season?

- With next to no picks, it'll be unlikely we compete, I'll do my best to do it but likely going to be a turnover year.

Well, John LeClair II was selected in the 1st round, so I'm going to say we did pretty well. To be honest, I'm not sure how we did the rest of the draft, but I'm sure we'll be a strong team.

I am a newcomer and I'm looking forward to getting to know the new guys to the league, or at least the people that I haven't played with or talked to before.

More ice time for John Leclair II = more success. But if I'm being honest for the VHLM, I'll take the ice time.

Of course - every team has a chance (or at least should have a chance) to win the Founder's Cup every season.

1. How do you feel we did in the draft?

I think the team drafted accordingly. We needed many pieces both offensively and defensively. Hopefully the roster can gel early.

2. If you are a newcomer to the squad, what do you look forward to doing most? If you are a veteran, how do you feel to play along side of the new draftees?

I look forward to hitting people and playing sold defense in front of our goalie.

3. Which is more important: Ice Time or Success?

Both are important, how could you help your team be successful by sitting on the bench?

4. What is your pre-game workout routine?

I wake up early in the day, get some food in me and a quick run. Hit the gym and then a little nap. Usually show up to the rink about 2 hrs before games time.

5. Are you excited for what might happen next season?

New Season, new jersey, anything is possible in Season 74.

6. Will we be a contender or rebuilding next season?

If we are rebuilding after having three first round draft picks, including First overall, we have a major malfunction.

1. Looking to start off with a bang, do you feel this team has what it takes to win?

Absolutely! I think we have some of the most dangerous forwards in the league and our defense has some quality depth! I think this is a team built to win championships for sure.

2. What are you willing to sacrifice to get the win?

I'll sell my soul to win it all if that's what it takes! I mean there's nothing that I wont do for wins, we compete as athletes to win, we get paid to win so obviously I'm gonna give everything I got to get them dubs.

3. What, in your opinion, is the most important factor for success?

DEFENSE! Say it with me now 'defense wins championships'. Having a strong defense is the backbone of great teams, you can play more free and aggressive when you know your blue line is solid. So yeah defense is most important.

4. How do you feel about the captains named?

I mean I got a nice A on my jersey now so I can't complain haha. I think Angellini is a great guy and a good leader so I'm happy that he got named captain. Dimmadome is our guy in goal so giving him an A makes sense, overall I'm happy about the whole thing.

5. Who is your favorite player to play along side with?

The only player I've actually played alongside in a real game is Roadkill Steve so I guess he wins by default! I'm really excited to get to play with Angellini and Merrick though they seem like really fun guys to play with.

6. Who will be an underdog team this season

Tough Question but I guess Mexico City, since they kinda sold out to win it all last year. I imagine it will be a tough season for them coming up but hey you never know for sure.

All biases aside, I think we have a legitimate shot at the Cup.

2. What are you willing to sacrifice to get the win?

I skip breakfast everyday, so maybe sacrifice some time playing Rocket League?

3. What, in your opinion, is the most important factor for success?

Defense. Defense. Defense.

4. How do you feel about the captains named?

@Dtayl is just as deserving of and A as he is a C. I was absolutely flattered to receive the C. Still can't believe it.

5. Who is your favorite player to play along side with?

So far @Dtayl on the blueline

Yes, I definitely think we do, and the results are starting to show it. How many wins in a row is it now? 5 or 6? And it feels like a lot of them have been 5-1 type wins too.

2. What are you willing to sacrifice to get the win?

I sacrifice my body and lay it all on the line every night. I lead the league (or am close to the league lead) in hits for a reason.

Hockey is the ultimate team sport, so it takes 100% buy in from all the members of the team. We have to keep practicing and improving as a unit.

1. Looking to start off with a bang, do you feel this team has what it takes to win?

Yes it has all the talent needed to win. It will take some time to tweak the lines but the ingredients are there.

2. What are you willing to sacrifice to get the win?

Hard training will take the place of relaxation.

3. What, in your opinion, is the most important factor for success?

Getting the right players on the right lines. Sounds easy but it is not.

4. How do you feel about the captains named?

    Excellent choices. All good leaders.

5. Who is your favorite player to play along side with?

It's a team effort, I am honored to play with any of my teammates.

6. Who will be an underdog team this season?

     Too early to tell.

1. Looking to start off with a bang, do you feel this team has what it takes to win?

We do have what it takes to be a top team. We need to continue to work each day and get better if we really want to compete with Minnesota and Miami it seems.

2. What are you willing to sacrifice to get the win?

Ill I’ll give my first born child to win. I say that not having any children and with no actual meaning behind it. Wink, wink

3. What, in your opinion, is the most important factor for success?

Continuing to grow each and every week. Every player in the locker room has the capability to be the best of the roster, just work ethic separates a few elected guys at the moment.

4. How do you feel about the captains named?

I voted myself for the current captain, so I have dondoubts about the guys selected.

5. Who is your favorite player to play along side with?

I mean I enjoy watching LeClair. Enjoy his style of hockey. He also has the hits lead on me for the team.

6. Who will be an underdog team this season?

I think we will surprise a lot of people in the second half of the season.

A few words before we get started, I want to thank Rockstar for giving me this opportunity to be your new AGM for the San Diego Marlins. I have great expectations for this team and this franchise who has already experienced great success.

1.    With a 7-3-0 start in our first ten games, is that above, below, or right around your expectations for this team?

2.    After ten games, you have a sample of what your player is doing this season. What are your expectations going forward for the season for your play personally?

3.    What skills, other than SC and DF are your looking to build on for your player?

4.    When it comes to recruiting, why do you feel San Diego is a prime destination now and in the future?

5.    A lot has been said and debated on when it comes to the STHS (sim), what role do you feel morale plays on the sim, if any? And what do you think the primary factor is in shifting the tide in games?

6.    After the BoG conference from this week, are you excited for the continued testing and potential move to the 1.5 system, or do you have other thoughts on the subject?

Bonus: What is one thing you’d like to see myself (Moose/Kevin King) accomplish with San Diego this season and beyond?

1.    With a 7-3-0 start in our first ten games, is that above, below, or right around your expectations for this team?

I think we are underperforming, personally. We are gaining some steam as of late and I expect a solid rest of the season going forward.

2.    After ten games, you have a sample of what your player is doing this season. What are your expectations going forward for the season for your play personally?

So far Angellini has been 2PPG and solid in the faceoff circle. I think I'm going to have a solid season.

3.    What skills, other than SC and DF are your looking to build on for your player?

PH, SK, and FO. I believe a well rounded Centerman needs a great faceoff win percentage to help his team maintain puck possession efficiently.

4.    When it comes to recruiting, why do you feel San Diego is a prime destination now and in the future?

I feel we have a great LR. The Discord is always populated. And in my short time with SDM, @InstantRockstar has been a very attentive GM. He always takes player suggestions and votes on decisions. It is refreshing to have a GM rely on his players opinions as well as his own instincts.

5.    A lot has been said and debated on when it comes to the STHS (sim), what role do you feel morale plays on the sim, if any? And what do you think the primary factor is in shifting the tide in games?

Simon is an enigma. I know there was a secret sauce/formula centered around a few key categories. I believe this formula works but also believe that the better the skater (SK/PH) the better the opportunity is for every player to defend/score/pass.

6.    After the BoG conference from this week, are you excited for the continued testing and potential move to the 1.5 system, or do you have other thoughts on the subject?

I think having a 3rd Party/Independent Correspondent is a great idea to promote transparency and inform the League as a whole of what may be going on in the Gilded Top Offices of the VHL.

1. With a 7-3-0 start in our first ten games, is that above, below, or right around your expectations for this team?

This is right around what I was expecting, we have a real solid team here in San Diego and we're going to win a lot of games this year. We just really need to stop losing to Houston, all of our losses to one team is not a good look haha.

2. After ten games, you have a sample of what your player is doing this season. What are your expectations going forward for the season for your play personally?

I expect to continue to provide a decent number of assists to my teammates this season, and to continue to be a rock on the defensive end of the ice. I am aiming to have the most shots blocked in an SDM career and im currently on the right path.

3. What skills, other than SC and DF are your looking to build on for your player?

SK, because speed is key!!! I love being able to fly up and down the ice, it makes it much easier to counter attack and get the puck out of our zone. Plus its just really fun to be fast on the ice!

4. When it comes to recruiting, why do you feel San Diego is a prime destination now and in the future?

Well first, the front office has been super great, so helpful and supportive to all the players. Also the culture in the locker room is very positive and friendly. San Diego really treats you like family and for young guys that's really important. San Diego really understands how to develop players and that is something that guys are going to be interested in.

5. A lot has been said and debated on when it comes to the STHS (sim), what role do you feel morale plays on the sim, if any? And what do you think the primary factor is in shifting the tide in games?

I'm not really sure, it often seems to have little to no effect on the sim. I think the primary factor in shifting games is just luck, sometimes you get lucky and other times you don't. It's all random luck

6. After the BoG conference from this week, are you excited for the continued testing and potential move to the 1.5 system, or do you have other thoughts on the subject?

I think the move to 1.5 is long overdue! This will help with staleness of building players, as you wont have to pump tpe into the same 3 stats as much

Bonus: What is one thing you’d like to see myself (Moose/Kevin King) accomplish with San Diego this season and beyond?

I'd like to see you lift a trophy in the near future! Other than that, I wish you just more success on and off the ice!

1. With a 7-3-0 start in our first ten games, is that above, below, or right around your expectations for this team?

A:  I din't really have any expectations coming into the season, just going along for the ride.

2. After ten games, you have a sample of what your player is doing this season. What are your expectations going forward for the season for your play personally?

A: I think my skills are going to grow exceptionally this season.

3. What skills, other than SC and DF are your looking to build on for your player?

A: Other then SC and DF passing is what I am working on.

4. When it comes to recruiting, why do you feel San Diego is a prime destination now and in the future?

A: The atmosphere around the team is really great and I think that kind of ethos will really bring  us to the forefront of the VHLM.

5. A lot has been said and debated on when it comes to the STHS (sim), what role do you feel morale plays on the sim, if any? And what do you think the primary factor is in shifting the tide in games?

A:  I'm sill getting use to the intricacies of the system, ill get back to you on this on.

6.  After the BoG conference from this week, are you excited for the continued testing and potential move to the 1.5 system, or do you have other thoughts on the subject?

A: I will answer you question with a question, what is the 1.5 system? and how is it different then the current one?

1.    With a 7-3-0 start in our first ten games, is that above, below, or right around your expectations for this team?

I think that is a good spot to start out. The top teams have capped players and we will only get better as the season progresses.

2.    After ten games, you have a sample of what your player is doing this season. What are your expectations going forward for the season for your play personally?

I am happy with my play. I have no expectations but looking forward to the team improving and we can really show our potential.

3.    What skills, other than SC and DF are your looking to build on for your player?

I am capped so my build was made more for an easier transition into the VHL.

4.    When it comes to recruiting, why do you feel San Diego is a prime destination now and in the future?

Good locker room attitude and San Diego will be a force in the league as it is just now showing they can compete.

5.    A lot has been said and debated on when it comes to the STHS (sim), what role do you feel morale plays on the sim, if any? And what do you think the primary factor is in shifting the tide in games?

STHS is a flawed sim engine. Morale is powerful but I believe the league has it turned down so it's not a huge influence.

6.    After the BoG conference from this week, are you excited for the continued testing and potential move to the 1.5 system, or do you have other thoughts on the subject?

Yes. A step in the right direction.

Bonus: What is one thing you’d like to see myself (Moose/Kevin King) accomplish with San Diego this season and beyond?

Stay active. Have pressers ready. Great job so far.

I think we're right around expectations going into the season. We're a very good team, but not necessarily the top team in the league.

I'm doing real good in the hits department - pretty sure I'm second in the league. I'd like to get some more points though. It might be out of reach, but I'd like to hit a point per game.

Checking. I'm looking to impose my physicality on the rest of the league.

I mean...it's San Diego. Beautiful weather, beaches, and a nice low key atmosphere. Less pressure to succeed here, and guys can blend in with the crowd more than in other places.

5.    A lot has been said and debated on when it comes to the STHS (sim), what role do you feel morale plays on the sim, if any? And what do you think the primary factor is in shifting the tide in games?

I go back and forth on this one. I think it has a minimal effect on the sim. In general though, I actually really prefer that we don't know EVERYTHING about the sim. At that point, it really just becomes a "numbers/stats check" even more than it already is.

6.    After the BoG conference from this week, are you excited for the continued testing and potential move to the 1.5 system, or do you have other thoughts on the subject?

I have an open mind going into it, but I'm going to guess that expansion sees the individual scoring increase that we're looking for. The "scoring" problem we had was due to too many players on a team, not total scoring overall.
