Every season in the VHLM new talent is showcased and rises to the top, and Season 70 was no exception. Top Defenseman award "Ryan Sullivan Trophy"

This award is named after a true legend in VHL, a brilliant defenseman that ruled the league during his time and was absolutely dominant on the blue line. We have had many fantastic players receive this award and it is time we see another join the club. The winner of this award was truly prolific from an offensive perspective but also held his own as an elite defender.

With three votes, the runner up for top defenseman in the league was Hugh Jass @TheFlash.

:sdm:
And the winner of the S70 Ryan Sullivan Trophy is the man with over two points per game, Roque Davis!
Congratulations @Josh!

Top Goaltender award "Benoit Devereux Trophy"

Each season there are a handful of young goaltenders who rise to the top of the VHLM, showing inner fortitude and a cool hand that carries their team towards victory. This season, we had an incredibly tough decision on our hands, as there were two goaltenders who stood out as being incredibly deserving. By the end, all that separated them was a single vote.

With five votes in favour, the runner up for top goaltender in the VHLM is Stone Wolski @DollarAndADream!

:osl:
With six votes, and your best goaltender in the S70 VHLM season, Jaxx Hextall!
Congratulations @ROOKIE745!

:osl:

Next up - Top Two-Way Forward award, the Matt Bentz Trophy!

Top Two-Way Forward award "Matt Bentz Trophy"

This award is dedicated to the forwards in our league who embody the defensive and physical sides of the game in addition to distinct offensive prowess. With every hit, every shot blocked, every goal scored, and every assist given, these players are the all-around best at just about everything. This season we had a clear choice. This player was a beast throughout the season, a points machine who liked laying down the body just as much as he liked scoring.

The runner up for this award is the San Diego Marlin’s Uhtred @leafsman

:sdm:
And winning the award for top two-way forward, another Marlin, we have the incredible Thomas Landry II!
Congratulations @Doomsday!

:sdm:

Playoff MVP Award "Skylar Rift Trophy"

Each postseason a few players truly rise to the occasion and carry their team on the path of victory. This season was no exception, as many players could lay claim to number one performer in the playoffs. It was difficult to determine who was most deserving, and in the end, all three nominees came close. In the end, though, a victor must be named, and one player rose to the top of the list.

First, each with three votes, we have our runner ups, Gary Tarantino @Garrett and Ola Vikingstad @Dil!

:osl:
Finally, your playoff MVP, once again on the podium, Jaxx Hextall of the Minnesota Storm!
Congratulations @ROOKIE745

:osl:

Regular Season MVP Award "Mitch Higgins Trophy"

The Mitch Higgins Trophy is given to the most valuable player during the regular season. It is an award that emphasizes leadership ability and unparalleled skill, the likes of which is only found in a select few players. As with most seasons, it was tough to determine who most deserved the title of Most Valuable Player. That being said, the incredible threat on goal and offensive presence of our winner pushed him through.

Runner up for this award was the blue line maestro Roque Davis @Josh

:sdm:
Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the Mitch Higgins Trophy for the most valuable player of S70 is Kyl Oferson of the San Diego Marlins!
Congratulations @Nykonax!

 :sdm:

Finally- Top Executive award, the Jack Reilly Trophy!

Top Executive award "Jack Reilly Trophy"

Each season we like to focus on the players; their achievements, their failures, and the storylines surrounding them. But let us not forget those managers and coaches who allow our players to best showcase their abilities. The Jack Reilly Trophy exists to honour the work that our VHLM GM’s put in week in and week out to make our league what it is today.

This season’s award winner was especially tricky to name, as all three of our nominees had a claim to be best GM. Our runners up, with three votes apiece, we have Ottawa and San Diego, @Acydburn and @iRockstar

:osl:
And the winner of the Jack Reilly Trophy for the top executive of S70 goes to the GM of the champions, the Minnesota Storm.
Congratulations @Rayzor_7!

That’s it for our coverage of this season’s VHLM Awards. Before we call it a night, let’s give a huge thank you towards our fearless leaders, the VHLM Commissioners of @diamond_ace and @Banackock. Without your tireless effort, the VHLM would not be the place that it is today. Thank you for your dedication and for making this our home.

I have been your host,  Mr_Hatter, and on behalf of the whole VSN crew, thank you and good night!

I am sorry but what are you VHLM GM's smoking?

Nothing against Rookie, a great guy and an amazing player so props to him for his season but Stone Wolski was miles ahead of Hextall. I am still shocked...

Miles above anyone else in SV%. Barely in 2nd in GAA. His team was better. Looks like GM's value goalies with a good team over whatever else.

He can have the stupid award. Not Hextall's fault obviously, so congrats to him.
