On Thursday night, Yukon made easy work of the visiting Storm with a 5-1 victory to stay red hot and keep pace with the first place Lynx. That's now 9 of 10 wins for Yukon and 38-10-2 overall. This is by far one of the better teams Yukon as seen in a longtime and all credit must go to Rush management.

First period was well played defensively with the only goal coming from Ray Sheilds, his 34th , assisted by Zyrok12 at 9:42. The second period was wide open with Minnesota pulling even with Aleelee Kiak's team leading 41st goal, from Latrell Mitchell and Alex Burrows.  Yukon took the lead for good four minutes later with a goal from Fauske Berbatov (8) from Ernie King and with his 1st assist of the season, B-YUK D3. Two minutes later Yukon began the route, on the power play, Vin Calia netted his 34th of the season, assisted by Alex Burrows and Joe Jacks. They completed the 2nd period bashing when Trey Nets scored #12 from Vin Calia and Jack John. Gino DiGiannantonio scored his 38 late in the 3rd to put the icing on the cake from Sheilds and Zyrok12 to end it for good for the Storm and send the Rush fans home happy once again.

Goalie Nicolas Fomba took home the 1st star of the game stopping 25 of 26 shots. Vin Calia was the 2nd star and Zyrok12 the 3rd. Yukon will try and continue the terrific hockey when the take the ice tonight in Saskatoon for a game against the Wild.
