Moscow ended their regular season off on a high note by knocking of the Americans in New York by a score of 4-2. The win slotted The Menace into the postseason and  will take battle against Helsinki tonight in Finland as the Victory Hockey League playoffs get underway.

Moscow jumped out ahead getting an early power play goal from Dean Clarke, his 9th assisted by Aleelee Kiak. Late in the period Ryo Yamazuki II put Moscow up 2-0 with his 31st from Jacob Perry and Oskar Lagesson. In the 2nd period the Americans inched closer with an Acyd Burn goal, his 31st on the power play from Lance Flowers and Julius Freeman. In the 3rd, Moscow rookie Vin Calia netted his 9th by a beautiful pass Jacob Perry and Oskar Lagesson. Later on in the period, with New York on the power play, Owen Nolan scored number 40 on a perfect set up from  Michael Gary Scott and Hugh Jass. But it wasn't enough as Henrik Zoiderberg shut the door on New York with the empty net goal, number 35 for him on the season , assisted by Vladimir Pavlov and Nate Telker.

Its off to season two, the playoffs for Moscow. This is a much younger Menace team and will face a tough challenge in getting back to the Cup, but either way it will be a great experience for them and you never know.
