Early Look at S74 Draft

The Season 74 Draft is already looking like an elite group of recreates.  Some of the league's top talented members are coming forth and joining into one draft class that already looks like a potential entire first round of really great players.  So lets take at some of the top talents..

 

FORWARDS:

Venus Thightrap is definitely the top talent at the moment in what is a very crowded forward group.  There is an incredibly elite forward haul of draftees with the likes of Thightrap leading the way as a center and the likes of Nousiainen, Strong Jr. and Aalto all having pretty decent potential to be top-2 centers on a VHL team in the future.  Thightrap is a truly talented two-way center who has a good chance of going in the top 5 of the draft, so don't be surprised if that's where Venus falls come time for the Season 74 Entry Draft.

 

The winger class looks even deeper with arguably four of the best five prospects in the draft being wingers.  Ryan Schwarz, Aloe Dear, Luke Thornton, John LeClair II and Onde Sandstrom all seem like potential first line wingers in the future.  While there isn't much outside of those five...that's a pretty stacked crop of wingers who will probably go in the top ten.

 

DEFENSE:

There aren't a ton of elite defenders in this draft but there are a couple that could end up very solid.  Jackson Philliefan has top pairing potential in the VHL but after him the likes of Lucifer Olivier Leveque, Shawty Nananana and Marks Schauer all have decent likelihood to be second pairing talents.  Therefore, if you are looking for D in this draft class, you may end up being a bit disappointed tbh.

 

GOALIES:

There are two goalies that I think have good enough potential to be a VHL starter one day.  Doug Dimmadome (who very likely will be on NY's radar) has the potential to be an excellent tender.  The Las Vegas Aces netminder has shown a lot of potential and has the makeup that an elite goalie generally has.  The other potential talented goalie is Kevin Malone whose inconsistencies with development will be questioned but there clearly is elite potential there.
