An Empty Roof

Recommended Posts

CALGARY - Jacques Lafontaine has stopped his ritual of going on top of either the Saddledome or the Calgary Tower and eating food. While fans are used to him being located in those places during the regular season, he tends to stop during the playoffs. He does it in the regular season to help calm him down but he does not do it in the playoffs to reduce risk.

"Yeah, anything can happen up there. Could get injured. Besides, I'm spending as much time as I can right now just mentally preparing myself. I don't need to be relaxed. I need to be focused and sharp."

So don't expect to see any hockey players up on those buildings until next season. He is especially trying to focus due to the tight series between Toronto and Calgary happening.

"It might be close right now but I know my team can pull through."

We'll see. Will the Calgary Wranglers will be able to finish it off against the Legion? Time will tell.
