We played badly so I hated it.

Since the Dune trailer has been released I'd say Dune: Messiah.  Of course it's a sequel so you can't read it on its own but I kinda prefer it to the first one since it really brings home a lot of the major themes/ideas set up in the first book about deconstructing the whole "hero's journey" narrative.

 

4. Whats your favourite Adam Sandler movie?

Haven't watched many to be honest.  So I don't know.  I think Waterboy is the only one I can think of?  I should've watched Uncut Gems though.

 

5. What time do you sleep and wake?

Depends on my schedule/plans.  Nowadays with COVID and being unemployed I'm usually going to bed around midnight-1 and waking up around 10 AM.  

 

6. Whats the best weather?

I like the early fall weather around 60-70° F, slight breeze, right when the leaves are turning.  Summer weather is great too of course as long as it's not too hot.

I won't be playing in the VHL straight away, but I do believe that we will be rebuilding. Which means it will be a slow start.

I hope to be able to continue building my player to be VHL eligible.

I feel that will bring championship experience to Chicago, which will help our team make the postseason soon. Hopefully.

From the new players, Aloe Dear seems to be my top candidate for top player.

I'm not sure, I haven't been following the VHL recently, but I would say Seattle.

I echo that welcome.  Nice to have some new faces here.  I think we're building well for the future and we've got a good shot to take the next step in our rebuild.

 

2. What are your hopes for this season?

On a team level, I'm hoping we can improve on last season and get closer to a playoff spot, or at least out of last place.  Personally, I'd like to improve my save percentage.  

 

3. How does it feel to be coached by players with 4 combined cups?

Well I've won 6 you two need to catch up  ...But seriously I haven't won one in a while so it's nice that some people who have won more recently are in charge haha.

 

4. Who's gonna be the top player of S74.

Tough to say.  I think Benny Graves has a good shot to establish himself as the league's top forward with HHH retiring.  

 

5. Who will win the cup?

I don't know.  Davos maybe?

 

6. If your player played any other sport what would it be?

Soccer.  Obviously he'd be a goalkeeper there.

1. This is only my third time answering these questions so I dunno, a solid average 

2. I hope so. I drafted him for my VHFL team

1. I don't really have one favorite because I just listen to pre-made playlists on Spotify and add anything that I like to my library

3. I honestly have no idea. We were 7 one day and 11 the next. It's hard to tell how things are going to play out so early in the season. I'd love to see us snag a playoff spot though!!

Well with the gift of hindsight, I can now tell you that he doesn't.  Call me Nostradamus.  Or Solasdamus, or Nostrasolas.  Whatever.

Seattle.  Vancouver is first but I feel like they always struggle in the playoffs.

Cranberry juice because of that guy from TikTok on the skateboard.

 

5. Do you have a plan for your next player?

I have ideas.  I've been here for a long time and I always seem to have ideas for my next player.  But right now I don't have much of a specific plan since I'm fairly early into JPC's career.

 

6. When do you think we will have another expansion?

No clue.  Considering the pandemic is still going (at least over here...) I think there is a chance of increased recruitment although that doesn't mean expansion.  I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that expanding by four teams was supposed to be a solution for the long term in order to avoid having multiple smaller expansions.  So I can't imagine one for at least the next 10 seasons unless we have a big uptick in activity.  I've been wrong before though!

1. I don't eat meat, so respectfully, no. However I do believe that boneless wings are just chicken nuggets, so there's that.

4. The amount of time I've spent in the penalty box this season is truly record breaking for me. 

5. Maybe someday, but I'm not really counting on it. I'll do what I can and hope for the best.
