J. P. @solasCamus, without any questions asked, was our star player this past season. For the amount of shots he took, I defended the net as best he could. Without him, we would've been last. 2. It's definitely signalling to the league that we're trying to compete next season. I think the Vancouver's price was low, but in turn, we got our GM's player on the team. I'm not really sure, though, how I feel about the trade for Chicago after the draft. Time will tell. 3. chirps best? as in talks best??? I don't get this question 4. I don't think I'd say I have a favorite, but I would say that it's not the same player as anyone else. 5. no 6. We've got some good prospects right now. Is it a bit weird to say myself? Because it seems like it'd be Camus. Squirrely Dan has to be up there too. Been a useful player to have around these past few seasons.  2.    The biggest trade we made so far was one that brought Jeff Downey to us. I'm a fan. The price to pay was pretty low and it helps to add such a top-quality player to our team. Downey and Socks should be a really solid first pairing.  3.    Who do you think chirps best on the team? I mean considering gorlab just got drafted here I'm probably gonna have to say him, haha. L handing out Ls.  4.    Who’s your favourite player in the VHL? Me. Also I like Phil Marleau, I'm a fan of forwards who rack up hits.  5.    Was picking 2 defensemen in the first round a wise choice for Chicago? Considering the amount of shots I've faced in the last two seasons, absolutely. Thanks for that. It would've been nice to have another elite talent at forward but I have a personal interest in the defense being handled first so I like it. L should be a future star and R has a ton of potential too.  6.    Did you like how the draft go? Sure. I wasn't really aware of all the prospects in this draft to be fair but if Zeke sticks around I think we've picked up a solid haul of talent. I'd probably give it to JP Camus as he has a fire sig, and apparently had a good season for the team. Adds a great veteran presence for L and R to learn under. Nothing wrong with that IMHO. I didn't even see the trade but hopefully Jeff didn't give up too much assets for himself. I've never seen someone take Beaviss' soul so quickly in the VHL discord.  4.       Who’s your favourite player in the VHL? I think my current favourite VHL player is Raymond Bernard of the Moscow Menace. Why? Well, he's L and R's fourth cousin, twice-removed by marriage. #VHLTrivia.  5.       Was picking 2 defensemen in the first round a wise choice for Chicago? Yes, I think it was. Even if defense isn't a position that Chicago needed to do much improving on, I think selecting L and R puts their d corps way over the top and adds two very effective players/members to the LR.  6.       Did you like how the draft go? Yes, I liked it. I am very happy to get to play for Chicago under Jeff and Blazzer. This season, I'm going to be working on keeping the balance that I've built so far. I like to believe that I've set myself up in a pretty good position, so hopefully I can just slowly work to maintain it and overall strengthen my team and, subsequently, Chicago in general! 2. Yes! Everyone can fit in at Chicago 3. I like @Berocka's "Two and a Half Aussie's" with boot! I also really enjoy listening to @DoktorFunk and @DarkSpyro's consistently awesome podcasts, would highly recommend both of them! 4. Who knows! It'll just depend on how quickly we build the team and the dedication of folks on the team. Team morale goes a long way. 5. I like animal crackers 6. I'd love to improve my puck handling 2. I definitely think he will, he'll be a good addition to the team 3. I don't listen to any 4. I think it'll take a few seasons but after that we'll be amazing 5. Takis and corn pops are my go tos but if I'll have granola bars if I'm just a llittle hungry 6. I'd say we didn't start the fire. I mean I'd like to improve as many as I can but I think I'd go with rebound control. Gotta bring down that number of shots faced after the last two seasons.  2.    Will our FA signing Jared fit in well to the team? I think so. As we continue to build up the team it's important to have quality in depth. So it's nice to add a solid top 6 forward to the young forward group we have. Especially since it's another center.  3.    Do you listen to any of the podcasts made by our fellow VHL friends? If yes, which ones? Not so much anymore. I used to check them out occasionally, especially back when the Pajodcast was a active. I might have to take a look at one or two with the new season coming up though.  4.    How long will it take for the Chicago Phoenix to become competitive? I don't think we're that far away, honestly. Obviously we're not cup contenders now but it's not that crazy to think that we can make it into the playoffs this season IMO. If this core sticks together and stays active we could be insane in like 2 seasons when the S73 and S74 players are hitting their prime. I'm excited.  5.    What’s your favourite snack? Salty snacks in general are my weakness - chips especially. To be honest I'm a big tortilla chip guy. Pringles are a bit of a guilty pleasure, I could eat a ton of them at once so I don't get them too often lol.  6.    What’s the best song ever in your opinion? That's a really tough question. I feel like there's a slight difference between "best" and "favorite" too, since I don't necessarily listen to the same bands/artists all the time so my favorite kind of changes. It'd still have to be a song I really like though. I think I'd have to go with Paranoid Android by Radiohead then. Just because I feel like that's the first song that always comes to mind when I think about that question. Are you happy with your player’s performance so far? Or is there anything you / the team can improve on? I mean I'd like to be doing better. I'm facing less shots than the last two seasons so I'd like to hold up my end of the bargain and improve my SV% and get more shutouts. But of course, I'm only in my third season so there's time to improve.  4. What would you want for Christmas? I'll be basic and say a PS5.  5. What are your players pre game ritual? Mostly just being calm, by himself. Maybe listening to some music, or even meditating.  6.
