"Hi, my name is Christian Mingle, and I like to score!"

Born in Jerusalem, Israel, Christian Mingle did not grow up playing the game of hockey, or even knowing about the sport until he was already a man. In fact, Mingle did not grow up playing any team sports as a child or young adult, instead honing his skills in other areas: mainly his looks and ability with the ladies. It wasn't until a business relocation took him to the Great White North, affectionately known as Canada, that the voracious scoring threat learned the intricacies of hockey and it's many great attributes.

Stationed in Toronto, Ontario, Christian wanted to quickly assimilate into the Canadian culture, so as to give him the best shot at continuing his scoring ways. What more Canadian culture activity is there than hockey? His company had a luxury suite at what was then known as the Air Canada Centre, and within days of landing on Canadian soil, Mingle was attending his first lesson in Canadian culture: the Toronto Maple Leafs. While the intentions were to gather information, Mingle became quikly captivated by both the WAGs in the arena, and the beauty of the sport itself, especially the many ways players were able to score!

With a newfound love for the sport of hockey, Christian Mingle decided he would bring his scoring ways to the ice, by joining the local men's league. Not knowing that divisions were a thing, the handsome devil joined the A-Division which is mostly populated by former pros and college level players. While his skating was nowhere near up to par, one thing was clear: Christian Mingle was born to score! With hands that would make Kimbra Hickey blush, Mingle has what is affectionately referred to in hockey circles as the silkiest of mitts, along with a rocket for a shot.

Joining the league mid-season, Mingle popped an incredible 34 goals and 12 assists in just 19 games. When the season ended, he was offered a tryout in the Victory Hockey League Minors, however, decided that he would take the summer to continue his training, play a full summer season, and fully prepare for a potential career in professional hockey. Playing another season in that same A-Division men's league, Mingle produced even better results, scoring 47 times and hooking up his teammates with 26 assists in a 25-game schedule, showing that it wasn't just beginner's luck that he was able to do so well in his first try at "puck."

With the VHLM's S73 upon us, Mingle has scored 7 times in his first 4 games, including a pair of hat tricks, to lead the league in both categories. His introduction to the league? "Hi, my name is Christian Mingle, and I like to score!"
