Moscow had no problem handling D.C. on Wednesday night knocking them off in Russia 4-1. Lucas Brandt took home 1st star honors in the game after recording a three point night in the game. The win put the Menace in 5th place in the VHL standings with a 27-16-3 record.

In the first period, the Menace got an early goal from Ryo Yamazuki II, his 20th of the season, assisted by Vin Calia and Dean Clarke. Remy Moreau woke up the crowd in the period when he dropped the gloves and got the better of Mikko Aaltonen. All the momentum was with Moscow from that  point on.

The 2nd period was all Moscow. Lucas Brandt scored his 25th of the season, assisted by Alex Letang and Oskar Lagesson giving Moscow the 2-0 lead. Henrik Zoiderberg knocked home a rebound on a Brandt shot to put Moscow ahead by three. Zoiderberg put the game out of reach with his 25thth, once again from Lucas Brandt.

D.C. finally got on the board in the 3rd period, when Raleigh Ritchie on the power play banged home his 11th from Mikko Aaltonen and Charles Drumm to make the score 4-1. Game winning goalie was Raymond Bernard who stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced.
