Vancouver Wolves Team HOF Additions

Hello All,

The Wolves Franchise (Quebec Meute) has not inducted a player or retired a number since S35. It is about time for that to change!
The Wolves have had some up and down years recently and leading the team during that era were the following two players. Both of them were on the S67 Championship Team. One was a rookie and one was an aging veteran, both of them are now retired and have left a lasting impact on the Wolves Franchise. Below are the new retired numbers.

Centre - Rauno Palo @jRuutu VHL Drafted: 4th Overall (S62)

Palo's career was a very interesting one. He went from defensive stalwart to the leading scorer and grabbed multiple scoring trophies doing it. Because of leadership and playing ability the Wolves were able to grab the trophy the franchise had been working so hard to get. Palo was never a selfish player and if he needed to change anything to help the team succeed he would not hesitate. His Elite playoff scoring and his ability to keep the locker room calm cool and collected he has earned his right to join the Wolves HOF.

LW -Julius Freeman @rjfryman VHL Drafted: 2nd Overall (S66)

Freeman's career can be explained using two words, Consistency and Domination. Ever since Freeman stepped on the ice in a Wolves uniform he dominated the competition. Winning 3 Brooks trophies is no small feat especially in the low scoring era that Freeman thrived in. Freeman was not only a dominant force on the score sheet. His leadership abilities and his drive to help the team off the ice might have been his biggest impact. When he was drafted at 2nd overall we knew we were getting a great player but we didn't know we would get an amazing Assistant General Manager as well. His impact on the Wolves should not be forgotten.

Palo and Freeman are now joining the two other great former Wolves Franchise players Wolf and Valiq.

Congratulations Palo and Freeman!

Palo was a interesting player for sure, I still fondly remember those absolute peak seasons, Palo and the whole team was on fire. Good times. :que:
