Crimson back in the rink...but not on the ice?

RIGA - Ryuu Crimson has been retired for quite a while now. Ever since his NHL career ended, he has been quiet to the public for a while.

“I wouldn’t exactly say quiet. I’m retired. I’m just trying to enjoy life.”

But Ryuu Crimson recently made a decision to join a hockey team again. Except this time, instead of sticks and skates, he’s wearing a tie, dress shoes, and wielding a notepad. That’s right, Ryuu Crimson is pursuing a coaching career. He might not be looking to be the main bench boss of the team but he has been hired as an assistant coach. Which team hired him? Was it the Riga Reign, who he won a cup with back in season 73? Or was it HC Davos Dynamo,  who he’d end up spending half of his Victory Hockey League career? No.

“Well, I did choose a Riga team to coach but not the one you think. I’m the new assistant coach of Dinamo Riga. Not only is it a kind of a mix between my two teams, the Dynamo and the Riga Reign, but it’s in the KHL and will give me some decent experience.”
