7 of the original 8 franchises remain in the league (RIP Vasteras), although only a handful under their original S1 name. With a league-leading 50 playoff appearances as of S74, the Riga Reign therefore have the fewest playoff misses with just 24 in 74 seasons, slightly ahead of their original 7 brethren.

 

2. TRUE/FALSE: Scotty Campbell is the only player in VHL history to register eight 50+ goal seasons (inspiration and 1 uncapped TPE to Frozen Block who doesn't have an account anymore?)

It is TRUE. To have 8 50-goal seasons, you would need at least 400 goals, which has only been achieved by 7 players - Campbell on 600 and the rest slotting in between 400 and 450 goals. All of these players are Hall of Famers so by going to their HOF article you would have found that somewhere along the line they all, except the GOAT, slipped below the 50-goal mark.
