We still don’t know the winner of the 2020 presidential election, but talks of the 2024 race have already started.

Mick Mulvaney, Donald Trump’s former acting chief of staff who now serves as the US special envoy for Northern Ireland, said he expects the president to run again in 2024 if he loses to Joe Biden.

“I would absolutely expect the president to stay involved in politics and would absolutely put him on the shortlist of people who are likely to run in 2024,” Mulvaney said during a webinar hosted by an Irish think tank.

The president has also discussed a potential 2024 run with some of his aides, according to CNN.

If he's still alive/not in jail in 4 years.

If America even let's Trump run again God have mercy on us all.

Also; the only politics he's staying in is somewhere like China and Russia where his connections and lack of care about his crazy would easily slot him a kushy no extradition situation. Just wait until the next chapter when he flips and gets his cult of Patriots to turn on America itself.

Trump's old, crazy, and stressed. I don't see him being alive in 2024, if I'm honest

Edit: note to self, always read the last page first, to avoid making a point that's been made twice before

Trumps bungling of EVERYTHING he touches has been really the only reason we are seeing just how much disgusting political corruption is coming out of DC.

I feel this narrative is quite close to the "Trump supporters are stupid thugs" - i.e. oversimplication.

He's obviously past his "prime" mentally, but I still think he's more despicable than a moron. And I don't think he's a successful businessman and certainly not self-made, but he made it pretty far so he's not an idiot. I tend to lean towards Devise's definition of him as a "troll" - he's pushing the boundaries because he can, not because he doesn't know where they are.

OH its certainly a simplified version, I'm at work so I cant write out the books I could on these subjects. I mean bungled as in the policial sphere of things.

He's not a "politician" by his own admission so he's not used to playing the game under the table. He's a business man (loosly), so his style is more so "I say it and it happens".  but for the most part, that shit dont fly in politics.  If it were romney or cruz or someone who could play to the masses while having these decisions made behind closed doors, only for us to find out months later in a washington post article that no one reads, America would be in a MUCH worse situation.

But let me also follow that up with the fact that my job services a Trump property. We're there every other day if not more, and I've run into him/seen and spoken with him at meetings/watched the way he interacts with and chastises his staff, and all that kind of stuff, and let me tell you the people around him do A SHIT TON of heavy lifting for him to come off as intelligent as he does.

Precisely. There is a good portion of Trumps base that are likewise trolls and desire simply to see the system in chaos. Not all are motivated by pure anarchy obviously some see themselves on a crusade to change an already corrupt system. They see this destabilizing as progress.

That Trump can hold the rhetoric of the trolls while uniting them with the religious and working class that they seek to dismantle has always been wildly ironic. People like Trump will always have the rich elite and trolls on their side. It's the middle class hard workers being duped that stings. People have to be more educated on what obvious trolling is imo.

Literally Trump isn't hiding his tactics. It's almost satire level. He breaks down and accuses everyone of doing things that structurally are the basis of his own strategies. Attack the news media for being fake to push people to trust uncredited sources thus making them more susceptible to their own fake news. Attack the polling system so people are suspicious of expected explainable delays to stir chaos, thus making the delays longer and sewing more chaos.

Corrupt gangsters on TV shows use more subtle tactics.

Can you expand on this a little more?

I'm trying to type out a response but I think I'm missing the crux of your point.

Why is there only corruption and fraud in the deciding states? Why not in other ones? Why not in red states? Why is there no fraud for republicans? Also, why are legal ballots that were sent before the deadline considered fraud to the president? ?

More importantly, where is the evidence? The Trump campaign, or someone within the party, faked a video of Joe Biden to justify their accusations. So they’re making fake videos.. but then cry “liar” and “fraud”? Haha There’s the kardashians and then there’s the trumps.

Like to clarify. I guess the crux of my point is that Trump and a selection of his base are manipulating and using other portions of their own base. Not just voting base either when I say that, Trumps support is worldwide. It comes in all forms and fashions and isn't just people who vote or people from America. Qanon has just been one of the many hot topic associations during this election cycle but it isn't hard to do digging on the internet to find the shittiest of shitty trolliest of trolly Trump supporting brigades. They organize, they spread misinformation, they red pill as many as they can.

These bad faith individuals have no interest in what a general conservative would call "right wing" policies. They have interest in dismantling the modern American democracy and many of it's institutions. You can find some of these manifesto's and creeds some of these individuals follow online, and not of just like "idiots" find the dude who invented the Occulus Rift his old reddit posts man. Palmer Lucky. They talk about reshaping society so that a higher class can completely rule, and disregarding the very notion that lower class people deserve rights. Forced labor isn't something that is off the table to these people. Like they are crazy.

So what I find ironic, and upsetting is the people who choose to align with these folks come election time, either out of pure ignorance, or because their perception of the political spectrum and society has been so warped that Trump just has to say enough obvious rhetoric to keep them towing their political lines above all else. It is also upsetting because Trump and his troll brigade don't even try anymore, they are so obviously lying and there are literally battles you can find on the internet whey they likewise troll supposed "woke SJW's" flaunting how easy it is to misinform the general public.

Bonus points also for being allowed on the forum but not on discord.

Like I'm curious, no joke here I want an American to earnestly and honestly consider this.

If a Repub Candidate did and said nothing on the campaign trail or the debate, and then only once spoke and said "Fuck Socialism" would that be enough to continue to drive Repub support for a close or winning election? I am LEGIT curious.
