Ahh. Well the video that is circulating goes on beyond what it shares (shocker) and Biden clarifies his statement saying that it was a lie Trump was going to spread...

Yea that would be less than ideal lol.

Unfortunatley, The GOP and to a lesser extent the Democratic Party, continue to force people with the least into desperate situations.  And desperate people in desperate situation make aggressive choices.

Sounds very alarmist. Yugoslavia was a combination of distinct people, languages, and religions held together by a tyranny which disproportionately favoured one of its many nations (Serbia). Some of that may apply to the US but I think everyone can admit that Americans are proud of their country and being American above all.

Right. Getting rid of a simple "pop" is not that hard lol.

I described the process earlier, would take 2 seconds. I do it like 40 times a day to mask cuts.

The fatalist attitude in here is ridiculous. People arming themselves and their homes, civil war, none of that is anywhere close to happening. If Trump were to win of course I would be unhappy and it could be worse for the country, but to say it would be the end of the country is ridiculous. It's the same lazy narrative a lot of people on the other side believe in that Biden and the socialist commies will destroy the country. No matter who is elected we will accept the choice and move on with it just like any other time.

True. But, when you have two sides that oppose each other so greatly and in exaggerated manners it may not actually be alarmist. Today, Republicans and Democrats (in the more extreme cases) will argue back and forth that the other side is "evil" and that they "hate America." Republicans claim that Democrats want a Socialist nation, that they hate the American way of life, and that they value the world over the US. The Democrats respond by saying that Republicans only value Judea-Christian people, the economy, and that they hate anyone different. As these extreme views continue to grow, and they continue to dehumanize the opposite side, it becomes easier to respond and act with pointed violence.

People are constantly referring to opposing people as "sub-human." When Kyle Rittenhouse shot those protestors (whether or not it was self-defense is beside the point) the extreme Republicans responded with things like "Thank God," "You should have shot more," or even "Maybe now they'll learn."

All I'm saying is while it could be a bit alarmist, to some degree I don't think it is.

It's more of a "worst case scenerio" things.  The biggest thing right now is that the few checks and balances we have still in place as american people, are kind of firing and working right now.

County vote counting directors and judges are not giving in to republican demands of additional access to counting centers (there are already pre selected representatives of each party watching the counters), they are refusing to inform Republicans of how the ballots are being delivered to the counting centers and in what vehicles (which they have been asking for which has TERRIFYING implications), and only the most loyal trump supporters are beliving his "I already won" bullshit, while even some of the more right leaning citizens are still saying "let them finish counting".

But if one or a few of these checks and balances fell through and this election was ACTUALLY cast into doubt? We would be in serious trouble.

This is valid, I think in an age where echo chambers and media sensationalism has split the population in many countries (including most of Europe), the US is a step ahead and hard to fathom on this side of the ocean.

I guess when Spade said Bosnia I thought disintegration of a larger country while it's more the potential civil war/persecution of opposing beliefs type thing. I still think you're a far way from that but I can see the concern. Trump has really done y'all dirty*

*although it's not really just Trump, I don't want to give him that much credit.

Do I actually expect civil war 2 to break out?

Hell fucking no.

But I dont actually have the time to list all of the ridiculous things that have happened in american politics in the last 4 years that I never in a million years would have expected.

So no, I dont have plans to post up on my roof with a sniper rife and pick off anyone with a red hat.

And yes, I do believe that once this election is said and done and Trump is no longer in office, America will settle CONSIDERABLY.

But in the meantime, I am going to be ready to defend myself and my loved ones if god forbid it comes to that.

And it could. How many people have been stabbed, shot, ran over or harmed during even the last year of these protests, riots and rallies? I’ve seen videos of people walking around with crazy looking gun... right in the middle of the street... or a senior couple getting the shit kicked out of them by I believe it was a 2x4 etc as they tried to defend their store from a group vandalizing it.

You are wise to take the safer route. All you have to do is turn on the TV in the last year or even speak to some members who have been in areas of riots or protests etc. The election is only the beginning. I expect things to go a little bonkers - especially with Trump sitting the pot with false claims, no evidence, fake videos and potentially losing other states VIA legal votes lol

Yea my response to the bosnia thing wasnt a "WELP POOR PEOPLE, LOCK AND LOAD, ITS TIME TO SUCCEED" kind of thing.

Its that we have 2 VERY POLARIZING political parties running the show here.  And its been getting to the point where the valleys between us are not shallow enough to step over anymore, and too few are trying to build a bridge.

While it is WAY MORE a republican/trump idea of the "YOUR NOT WITH US THEN YOUR UNAMERICAN", the left is begining to more outspokenly adopt that culture too.

IF (big IF) violence were to occur in america, it wont be from this election.  It will be the play of right being taken away from americans alla the now SUPER CONSERVATIVE supreme court which now has the ability to strip rights from women and homosexuals.

It wasnt election night that convinced me to buy a gun, it was the appointment of Amy Coney Barrett to the supreme court.

I'm a firm believer that our entire government has actually done us dirty. Trump's just the most recent pawn in their overall game lol

I honestly expected the Kyle Rittenhouse (or what ever his name was) to be the tipping point, but luckily the powder Keg wasnt filled all the way up then.  Could you imagine if he shot those people anytime in the last two/three days?

f*ck:

We still don’t know the winner of the 2020 presidential election, but talks of the 2024 race have already started.

Mick Mulvaney, Donald Trump’s former acting chief of staff who now serves as the US special envoy for Northern Ireland, said he expects the president to run again in 2024 if he loses to Joe Biden.

“I would absolutely expect the president to stay involved in politics and would absolutely put him on the shortlist of people who are likely to run in 2024,” Mulvaney said during a webinar hosted by an Irish think tank.

The president has also discussed a potential 2024 run with some of his aides, according to CNN.

Trump is the fall man for the GOP, He's the face of the issue, it's way more McConelle, Stone, Barr, etc. etc. The guys who have been in power for YEARS and all their plans are falling into place just like they planned.

Can you imagine if Romeny, or someone even semi compitent in politics had won the republican nomination/presidency in 2016?

Trumps bungling of EVERYTHING he touches has been really the only reason we are seeing just how much disgusting political corruption is coming out of DC.
