Two things everyone should take time out of the day to look at.

Warning: Both items will cause the feels to be unleashed.

First is a letter from a beloved Canuck, Gino Odjick. As some may know he has been diagnosed with a terminal heart disease, and this is a letter of him making it public.

Second is Isaiah Austin, who was diagnosed with marfan's syndrome just days before the draft. The NBA did something special; worth watching.

Both things makes you realise how fortunate we are and how life can turn in a second.

Agreed. I have to admit I cried when I watch the Austin part earlier. The kid has an NBA name for heavens sake, I feel bad for him. But also looked at him and saw someone very strong.

Gino was actually one of the people we interviewed for an RDS series that just finished up at work. Such a nice guy to talk to. We knew during shooting that he had admitted himself to a hospital but didn't know exactly why, makes more sense now. The guy just lost his father too (passed away during post) which I'm sure makes it even tougher since they were really close.
