WJC Commissioners have the unenviable job of sorting through the many applicants and choosing only five to be awarded the honour of being hired. These incredibly important managers have the responsibility to build a competitive team of young VHLers, with the pressure of the whole country, continent, or world behind them. The people hired as GMs will set the tone for the team throughout the whole tournament by selecting players, building chemistry on the ice, and providing the experience of the World Juniors for their lucky players. Because the GM announcements are the most highly anticipated announcements of the season, and because Christmas is the season of waiting, we're going to drip, drip, drip the hirings out. First up, the easy one: Team USA. Your Team USA General Manager for the S75 World Cup is none other than: Spoiler Thaddius Sales @thadthrasher Thad is the perfect choice for Team USA and I had literal death threats if he wasn't hired. He's a proud American in both management and with his goalie, Thaddius Sales. Thad has looked to his American management role models to get this job, channeling his inner Brian Burke in his application video. Check out that tie! That's the outfit of a man who is confident in his ability to manage a hockey team and doesn't give a tarnation about what everyone else thinks. Expect Thad to build a highly competitive team with the always deep American talent pool. I won't speculate on the American roster just yet, but I bet that's something that the VHLM media can do. In the Locker Room, Thad is a beauty. He's a leader in the Miami room, where he signed as a free agent and then subsequently drafted in the S75 Dispersal Draft. Despite being traded to the Aces, Sales is still a central part of the positive and active climate built by Ricer in Miami. Look for Thad to be the Conductor of the American Hype Train publicly and privately as he motivates his team and feeds the rabid fans around the league.
