Doomsday 4,034 Posted January 20, 2021 Share Posted January 20, 2021 Season 76 Saskatoon Wild Captains The sun rises on another brand new season here in the VHLM today, just as it does for a new group of leadership for the Saskatoon Wild. After a successful year in Season 75 which saw many prominent Saskatoon players move on to the VHL or elsewhere in the M, the Wild are a very different team this season. However, the focus has, and always will be, on the continuing development of the members of the team, and that's something that begins with our new team captains. Without further adieu, let's introduce the Season 76 Saskatoon Wild captains! A: Tanky, D @TXC A new member of the Saskatoon Wild, Tanky's reputation as a brutal, physical presence precedes him. A team-oriented player that simply won't tolerate any cheap, dirty hits being thrown at our boys is already team leadership material, but there's so much more to it than that. As a veteran member who has held team leadership positions around the league, Tanky is a valued addition to our team, and we're proud to make him one of our team captains! A: Griff Mackenzie, C @HoneyBadger25 A returning member of the Season 75 team, Griff Mackenzie saw limited action as a late-season acquisition, but was very vocal about wanting to return to Saskatoon in Season 76. With the 57th overall pick in the Season 76 VHLM Dispersal Draft, that wish was fulfilled! Griff's dedication to the team is infectious, even with the limited time he has here, and he is set to become a big contributor to the Wild now that he's here to stay! C : Braxton Hunter, LW @dshervill First joining Saskatoon midway through Season 74, Braxton Hunter loved his time with the team, and team management felt the feeling was mutual, as he returned through the Season 75 VHLM Dispersal Draft. Breaking out with 30 goals and 61 points in S75, Hunter is now primed to be the leader of the Saskatoon Wild both on and off the ice, as he returns for Season 76 as the captain of the Saskatoon Wild. Congratulations!! Congratulations to our new team captains!! It's set to be an interesting season, and with hard work, a fun and fruitful one as well! Best of luck in Season 76, everyone!
