Pre-Season interview with Gobeil

We have with us today a young Prague Phantom player who is about to start is second season in the league. Mr. Gobeil, thanks for joining us today!

 

No problem at all, it an honor for me to be here!

 

Great, let’s begin with a quick review of your rookie season, that was quite impressive, what do you think about it!

 

Well, it was beyond everybody’s expectations for sure, I’d even say it was beyond my own expectations. During my time in the VHLM, I always played as a playmaker and something was not right, it didn’t work for me. Before my rookie season, I took the decision to use my off-season to train my scoring ability but to be honest, I didn’t really believe in myself. I’d say it was a last resort. Once we started the season, things just clicked, I instantly felt that chemistry with Bouchard and I think we will be a pretty good duo in the near future.

 

Last season you started without much expectations but this season you are expected to continue on the pace you finished last season. Does it scare you a little?

 

Last season is now a thing of the past to me. Teams has changed, the players has changed and I changed too. My only focus is the coming season.
