Wow! After a how many game losing streak, the Riga Reign are filling up the wins column again. It has been a disappointing and infuriating past couple of days, so coming in clutch with a 2-0 sim really felt good. We were even talking in the LR about potentially selling some key players at the deadline, but I sincerely believe that we can turn it around.

We had a couple guys who, in those two games, snapped some bad streaks and set the tone for the rest of the season. Backup goalie Matt Sovick Jr., who struggled initially with the jump from the M, was stellar with 35 saves and a .972 save percentage against the Nighthawks. General Zod, James Rose, Linus Zetterstrom, and Ray Sheilds, who all came into this season with high expectations, all put up two points as they regained a bit of their mojo. The Lions managed a 100% penalty kill percentage and scored 4 times on a power play! The Reign beat the Nighthawks 5-1

In the second game, we faced the red hot Bears. This time, Addison McLaren tapped into his inner sniper with 2 goals and 4 points on the night, and Zod picked up 4 assists. Isau DaMoose, Cabe McJake, and Rocket also all had multi point games. It was an uber successful sim for the Latvians and hopefully a sign of what's to come.
