UKHL introduces the first team that will be joining the league and it almost looks exactly like another hockey club, the VHL's London United..

Team Name England Amalgamated

There is another team in town and the Amalgamated will be cheered for hopefully the next few generations as they assemble a similar line up to their major league counterpart, London. They are one of the few new teams to join the UKHL for their first season should give the team a chance to show off even more hockey talent from their country, in hope of advancement in the future in regard to a bigger arena and some of the United's television coverage. At first glance the team put together looks very innocent but when you look even closer it seems like the organization is ready to takeover the country and have a Amalgamated logo in every window, store shelf and back of child watching hockey for their first time. Here's a look at how the newly formed England roster looks like and how it compares to the VHL's London United.

Coaching Staff GM Rasmus Wulfsson Coach Jose Rose

Young and successful Swedish legend Wolfsson has been coaching across Europe racking up more wins than losses wherever he ends up, despite being a very good manager he hasn't been able to keep a job and hopes to stay with England for the long future. Rose just graduated from the Mexican University and is ready to get started right away so hopefully when coming into the mix from the sideline studying his peers closely, we see a creative mind ready to change the game and get his team at the top of the standings with an already strong roster in his first season ever coaching.

1st Line F LW Mike Kunkunin SNP C Jake Toon PLY RW Viktor Killing TWF

Top line looks dangerous with an overall TPE of 2,715 (United is 2606) all three forwards play a very good two-way game and take their shots when given starting a flurry whenever they get into the offensive zone. In the middle we have a small but ferocious Toon whose smart on the draw, hard on the puck and always in position to extend a play with high IQ maneuvers that make the wingers play better than they do without him. The wingers, Kunkunin and Killing are almost identical and should be dangerous whenever they get a 2 on 1 or extra man advantage as they showed excellent chemistry when shooting, timing their shots perfectly and hitting every target during practice.

2nd Line F LW Pacal Pow GRD C Zech Fredriksen PWR RW Dale Nail GRD

Not the strongest line in the league at 868 total TPE (London is 1,759) so don't expect to see a lot of flashy moves out of these gentlemen, what we should see is a ton of blocked shots, hard hits and disciplined plays if they want to contend against stronger line ups, specially being the only line of defense when the top line tires out. The only line that doesn't really match London and with three very defensive minded players and no back ups expect to see the coach hard on them all season as they adjust and get used to increased minutes.

1st Line D LD Leo Kingly OFD RD Axel Trivia OFD

Coming into the league with a pairing just as scary as the United with 1612 TPE (London is 1710) is a line with a little more defense, making both players very important as the club moves forward with a lack of forwards. Knowing they have to be smart when they take shots from the point both defenders will need to hold the puck even longer and shoot well placed shots if they want to successfully help the offense with goals and extra chance opportunities.

2nd Line D LD Avery Nousanen TWD RD George Vocenkov DFD

An improvement compared to the United at 1396 TPE (United is 525) and should get a lot of great chances while be fueled up and ready to go. Probably the most comfortable position to be in on the team knowing they'll get shots late in the game and having an extra breather to do it makes a deadly combination on the blueline but will it workout or fail like the London's defensive core last season, guess we'll have to see how Jose coaches the squad whenever the season begins.

3rd Line D LD Travis Striper DFD RD Brandon Bud TWD

They are one of the stronger pairings defensively with only 701 TPE but we see a line they can be utilized in any situation and get enough time to grow as younger talents on the team. Both players don't play much of a role in offensive chances and stay at home with the goalie most of the time, defending and throwing their bodies on the ice, something the team hopes to use as their specialty move late in games to secure the victory when the opposition is too tired to play extended shifts, grinding them out for any chances they might have.

Starter G Nigel Latinin BUT

There isn't much of a difference in goaltending with 994 TPE as we see a minor gap in TPE of 11 (London is 1005) and with a long career, bigger frame, plus a veteran mentality going into the season we should see the Amalgamated feeling comfortable with a goaltender ready to improve on his hall of fame numbers and win as many games in his last season in net before he ends his career the following season.

It's still not known how everything got assembled so quickly and where the managers actually came from but everybody in the United Kingdom has a question mark up and wonder if the UKHL commissioner came from another planet.. How will this all play out? Can both teams play in the same universe or is all the commonalities just a big coincidence nobody can get over? Only time will tell!
