RstortonYT 27
Ok so I will be honest here, I did not expect that to go the way that it did. Let's recap. Game 1: In front of thousands of excited Hounds fans, it was the Marauders who came out on top, scoring twice in the first and absolutely dominating throughout, outshooting the Hounds 37-21. The best team throughout the entire season was thoroughly outplayed in game 1. But hey, it's only 1 game. Everyone has bad games, this should be a one off. Right, Mississauga? Game 2: In an extremely intense game, it was Miami coming out on top once again, scoring twice in the second and holding on in the third to take a 2-0 series lead. I, along with many others predicted the Hounds to win this series. But at this point, I am starting to believe that Miami can really pull this one off. With the series headed to Miami for games 3 and 4, you have to wonder, can they really get it done? Game 3: Uh oh, Mississauga. You're now down 3-0 and have to try and avoid the sweep on the road in front of an incredibly loud Miami crowd. The game was complete Marauders domination. Outshooting the Hounds 38-24. It was an excellent performance in goal for Luke Spinelli, however it was not enough. Will the Hounds be able to complete a near impossible comeback, or will the Marauders hold on, and sweep the VHLM's top team and complete an unlikely upset. Game 4: It's over! The Miami Marauders ave won the Founder's Cup. Wow. this was a wild game. Mississauga looked to have tied it late, with Gaspar Zakrevsky scoring on the PP, however, Alexander The Great would score a powerplay marker of his own with less than two minutes to play and that would stand as the winner. it will be celebration in Miami. Well that does it for the VHLM playoffs. As someone who had the pleasure of watching and playing in these playoffs, I was thoroughly impressed at the quality of hockey played throughout these playoffs. While my time as a player in these playoffs did not last very long, I was very happy to be able to write about every game that went on throughout these playoffs. There were some very intense games. It was a very fun ride and I look forward to writing about the VHLM playoffs again next time. Anyways that does it for me. Goodbye everyone, and see you next season.
