SlapshotWrangler 864
MISSISSAUGA - Disappointed and defeated, the Mississauga Hounds ended up empty handed this playoffs as the Miami Marauders ended up topping them in the end. Miami seemed to be the only team getting the better of the Hounds in the regular season and in the end, they were the only ones who could beat the cruising Hounds in the playoffs. Sure, the previous matchup had the Hounds almost losing in game 7 but their loss was surprising. Sigard Petrenko was both shocked and disappointed in himself during his press conference. After the series-ending game, Sigard sighed and simply kept his head down. “It’s rough… It is really rough. To lose that chance of winning the championship, especially with all the staff changes coming at the end of the season… It really sucks. I mean, well played to Miami and congratulations but I wish I could have played better. I honestly could have done a lot more but I didn’t. This team played its heart and soul out. Sadly, we couldn’t come out on top. For a lot of us, this is our final season in the M. We need to get over it to focus on our futures but… this one will sting for a while.” He concluded before getting up and heading back to the locker room. For the city and the players of Mississauga, this will be a bittersweet season to remember.
