Guest Svoboda_3
Season 39 has not only been disastrous for the Helsinki Titans, but for second-season defenseman Vojczek Svoboda as well. After a promising rookie season in which the Czech rearguard recorded 80 points, made the All-Star team and was a finalist for the Stolzschweiger Trophy, it appears that Vojczek’s play has diminished. Currently mired in a slump, Vojczek has failed to produce lately and has only recorded 16 points in 23 games, is a -6 and hasn’t scored in forever. The results or lack thereof, has Vojczek questioning a lot around him. “I really don’t know what to do to get myself out of this. It also hasn’t helped much having trade rumors floating around about you, so that plays a part in the struggle. I just feel as if I have let a lot of people down. I mean, I was a highly touted player and now I feel like the Titans could have benefited more from not selecting me. I plan on playing through this, but how long does a person continue working hard with no results? It’s certainly taxing on a players’ confidence,” states a dejected and frustrated Svoboda.
